I read a decent amount about this camera after seeing it in a store, and determined it was high on my list. When an open box became available at my best buy, that sealed the deal and I bought it right away. Features are plentiful, and low light performance is really nice. The fastest repeat shutter speed is incredible and is great for sports or action photography. No complaints so far!

Dslr quality without the extra bulk faster shutter speed due to being mirrorless

I bought this camera for my daughter for her birthday after she'd been wanting it for months, and her reaction was priceless. She is a novice photographer, but has been able to get a wide variety of shot types and subjects with outstanding results. She said the interface was pretty intuitive and easy to navigate.

I had a rebel before but since I have a toddler and didn't have enough time to actually check on what I was taking, I got this, is lighter, more assisted, love it. Perfect for my needs

Forget about Canon and Nikon, they have fallen behind. The A6000 beats their DSLRs at the same price point. You get better dynamic range, better ISO performance, faster AF, and a beautiful EVF. Battery life is decent for the A6000, it falls short by about 50-100 images from the Canon or Nikon cameras, but then the battery lasts a long time for me because I take the time to compose my images and not burst frequently. If you're into sports or something related that will make use of the continuous shooting, then get an extra battery. You should always get a 2nd regardless. Sony is the new innovative company when it comes to camera technology and they give customers what they deserve for a desirable price. Good bye Canon & Nikon, not looking back.

i have used a6000, a6300, a6500 and a7 series. nothing beats the specs on sony for the price, all canon an nikon or more expensive or don't offer even half of the features sony does. it just about what am i getting for my money.
