I bought this camera for a family vacation to europe. I shot mostly in auto because I didn't read the manual before the trip. Photos came out way better than expected. Shooting in auto always has the potential to mess up photos. There were definitely some issues with autofocus focusing on the wrong area, but that is not the camera's fault. Camera was very fast to respond and I never felt that I missed "the action" while waiting for the camera to turn on or save photos to memory. Make sure you get a fast SD card. I took roughly 3300 photos and that used up about half of my 64gb card. Battery lasts about 800 shots or so.

I don't have the time or the energy to become a highend photographer but the camera gives me great pictures with little effort!

We have two canon dslr's (t3i and 5d) and to have this as our pocket camera is great. Quick option that takes great pics.

I've had several of the Sony Alpha NEX model cameras and this is the best yet by far.

I wanted a camera that could take pictures in rapid succession and was easy to use. So far, I'm pleased with my purchase but am still learning the ins and outs of the camera and experimenting with the different settings.

I bought this for my wife as a wedding present before going on our honeymoon. She took 2500 pictures! It was wonderful. The battery life was never an issue, as long as she was careful to turn the camera off, even though, she never even got close to having a problem. But in case you might, a $10 micro USB charger will save the day. I certainly couldn't have been happier with this purchase.

This camera is the bomb! This is my first camera. I am new to photography. I live in Thailand 8 months out of every year. I take this camera out and use it at every opportunity. I purchased a 50mm prime lens for it and love the pictures I take with it. Buy this camera,easy to learn on.You will love it.

not a beginners camera.... Loaded with every feature you can think of... only issue with this camera is that you have to buy a third party book (650 pages ) to figure out all the options features. Takes fantastic photos.

I looked for the perfect camera for a few months, and it was tough chosing between the 5000, 5100 and the 6000. Oh man, Im so glad I picked this one, its perfect size, takes great pictures with little effort. I mainly use it for product photography as I sell online, and it does a good job. Very happy.

Awesome camera, wanted a camera that I would be able to use on family vacations... Looked at both cannon and Nikon but the specifications on this one beat them all the way around... Very pleased with this purchase and the price is really reasonable

This is my first Mirror less camera purchase and I'm amazed by the quality. Its compact and gets near or better than my entry level DSLR but its pricey compared to those. Only issue is there are not many Lens options compared to DSLR and they are expensive. Not many deals pops up.

This camera is very easy to use. I'm a novice but I didn't feel overwhelmed! The photo quality is amazing. Plus, I love that you can transfer your photos from the camera to your smart phone very easily! Love it. And apparently this camera has a bit of a cult following so information about using it is easy to find.

I knew before I bought the camera that the kit lens isn't so great (a lot of bad online reviews), but I bought the kit anyway so I would have a lens to use until my 18-135 lens arrived. My 18-135 lens arrived before I could take any pictures, so I've only used that lens so far. The few photos I have taken have been nothing short of fantastic. The intelligent auto works like a charm: I was able to take hand held shots at night without any blurring, and the detail when viewed at actual size is excellent. I plan on trying out the other functions of the camera, particularly aperture priority, which I will use on portraits to blur the background. The A6000 is small and light, and is easy to carry around, even with the 18-135 zoon lens. It weighs far less than the Canon DLSR I used to use, and I don't get a sore shoulder from carrying it around like I did with the Canon. I highly recommend the Sony A6000, or the upgraded A6300 if you need the added features that come with the A6300.
