Customers are positive about the camera's quality, ease of use, and compact size and weight, making it a convenient option. The camera's 4K capabilities, low light performance, and fast autofocus are also well-received. However, customers are negative about the battery life and overheating issues, especially when shooting video, and some find the menu system difficult to navigate and would like a touch screen.

Great Camera for a Prosumer - Not for beginners

This is not a point and shoot - it is a mirrorless ILC. The kit lenses are good for starters but for higher quality images you will need better lenses (glass, optics, whatever the cool kids are calling it these days). Overall this camera is small and very portable compared to a DSLR while giving you similar quality/capability.
I do wish they did not charge extra for the "applications" as they are calling it. Sony has implemented a system where you can buy apps for the camera that allows you to do some nifty things but that includes creating a basic timelapse which should have been a built in feature rather than charging an additional $10 just for the timelapse app. -_-
But back to the camera - the feel and build quality is very good. The built in panorama (no extra fee) is one of the best if not the best panorama creating cameras I have used. It is weatherproof, not waterproof.
The downfalls of this camera (lack of touch screen) and some small nuances have been corrected with the a6500 - but it is not worth the extra premium imo.
The a6300 is a great camera, with good functionality. I highly recommend it.

I did some online research for a camera that shot good 4k video but not with an extreme price. As I read, this was the one to get. Well I must say I am pretty impressed with the video quality. Only issue is the stability. Easy fix with a good gimble or some video editing software. I am actually more impressed with the picture taking quality though. The stick lense has been excellent for both video and photography. Defintely a good camera and I am pleased. A photo below is a really cool 4th of July shot I took with a long exposure setting.

I bought this is a portable alternative to my DSLRs when traveling. Image quality is excellent. It has all the manual controls an old photographer could ask for, as well as all the automation one could want. There is a learning curve if you want to really master all the settings, but it's worth the effort.

This is my first camera I have ever owned and I love it. It takes getting used to but over all I would recommend this to anyone. The settings are a little weird but after a little getting used to it’s okay. That’s about it when it comes to the cons, the pros well the list goes on it’s a great camera!

This is a great all around camera, mostly purchased for the video. Vlogging is what I will be mostly using this camera for. With that said, my only gripe is the fact that the screen doesn't flip forward. Not the end of the world though, and definitely worth the sacrifice for the level of quality you get out of this camera.

This camera is very capable for any skill level. I’d consider myself an intermediate photographer and this camera gives me plenty room to grow. After market lenses have worked well with this camera and I would recommend it for somebody who wants a portable and convenient camera that gets respect.

Great camera for beginner to serious hobbyist. It's compact and light enough to carry it around. I moved to mirrorless from DSLR for this particular reason. I do not have as excuse to not carry camera anymore.
** Pros
- Good noise performance,
- Good focusing speeds and accuracy.
- Good upgrade path to full frame cameras with FE lenses
- USB charging
** Cons
- I wish it had touchscreen
- Always nervous about battery. Very poor battery life. But, it charges via power bank.
- Not great kit lens

I haven't had a lot of experience with mirrorless cameras. However, I loved using the Sony A6300 and took it on a trip to Leavenworth, WA. It was small enough to carry around and not feel very intrusive with a larger lens. It performed well and was great for taking photos around the town and at night as well.

I purchased the Sony a6300 after considering many different cameras. The more I use it, the more I am enjoying it. I would say a beginner could easily learn and grow with this camera. It is also a great camera for experienced photographers. I believe it is inspiring me to be more creative with my photography.

I took this on my vacation to California and took some great shots. I used the auto as well as manual features. I spent about 2 weeks before I went on my trip watching youtube videos on how to use the various functions. Time well spent in order to learn the features of this camera.
