This is my first experience with high end cameras and it’s exceptional. Worlds above what I was using before (and my wife’s phone). It captures details that I didn’t even notice at the moment in stunning detail, and the color accuracy is phenomenal.

I did a lot of research before I bought this camera. It came down to a choice between this and the Nikon D850. I think I’d have been happy with either. Both have exceptional image quality. Both have excellent reputations for durability. Both are used by professionals whose work I respect. Dynamic range was one key consideration. The Nikon is good. The Sony is extraordinary. For landscapes that’s important. Weight was another factor. Don’t get me wrong. The A7rIII with the 24-70 f2.8 lens and extended battery pack is quite a chunk. But, a similarly equipped D850 is even heavier. At my age that’s important. A key factor in my decision was the ability to see and hold both cameras equipped with the lens I was considering. You can’t do that on Amazon. You can’t do it at every Best Buy either. They had a full camera shop at the Best Buy with knowledgeable sales people in Greenville, SC, about an hour away. Being able to hold the two cameras was critical. Don’t buy it blindly. This is expensive. Make sure it feels good in your hands, since that’s what it often comes down to. Since purchase, I’ve shot about a thousand frames with it. Even though I was switching from Canon, the operation of the A7rIII is intuitive and I was up and running without a manual in no time. (The little booklet that comes with it is just one step above useless). Since then I’ve bought a detailed guide to the camera and I’m getting better with it every day. I’ve paired it with a low cost flash from Godox (for fill-in work), and everything is great. I’m happy.

I have had my eye on the Sony mirror less line for years now, but stayed the DSLR route, I kept seeing these amazing images coming from other photographers shooting Sony mirror less and finally had to take the plunge and I am SO thankful I did. The A7RIII is an absolute power house by comparison to the DSLR’s I was shooting, this camera is incredible! I am truly loving photography again thanks to this camera!! Even in 2021, this camera is remarkable.

I shot on the a7rii for a year. It served me well but lacked a few things I wanted in my main camera body. To name a few the a7riii adds anti flicker for indoor shooting, a second SD card slot for back up or extra storage, and a touch screen ( a first for a7). The biggest upgrade was battery life. I shoot product and events and having piece of mind that the battery is good gives me more confidence in the camera. 650 shots over 290 on the a7rii.

I purchased this camera on sale and I am loving it! I upgraded from a Sony a6400 because I needed the extra 43 Megapixel resolution, stabilization and low light performance. This camera feels good on on my hands and balances well with any lens I have tried. The photos it takes are superb and it has all my customers raving. I recently did my first wedding with this camera and it performed admirably paired with the Tamron 28-75mm and the Sigma 35mm. I was able to take crisp photos inside the church and on the dark dance floor (using a flash). I was able to do the whole wedding without a tripod! The feature it has to write on 2 memory cards simultaneously is a huge plus since you are creating a back up of your files on the fly. It can shoot 10 frames per second which is perfect. I actually turned it down a bit because the uncompressed RAW files are about 45 MB each. I found that using a 3 to 5 photo burst will suffice. I shot roughly 3,000 photos on my first wedding and it equaled 100 GB. If you are buying this camera, this is a tool to make money! I am now shooting my second wedding and I am going to pair it with the Sony 135mm for some game changing photos! From paintball to weddings and nature, this camera can do it all and is the perfect fit for me.

This is super quick, very fast focus and is good for low light. It’s perfect if you want to blow pictures up on canvas due to it’s 54 megapixel. It’s great for video but not as many features like the a7sii. I done lots of video with it though its great for both pics & video.

I am a recent convert from Canon. I Purchased the Sony a6500 (1.5 crop sensor) and fell in love with it. Sony camera ease-of-use as well as the technology is very nice. That being said when the new Sony a7riii came out I knew I wanted this full frame version. The only thing I can say about the 42 megapixels, dynamic range, joystick, dual card slots it’s simply amazing.

I upgraded to this after having a6500. I paired this with a SEL35mm zeiss lens. I absolutely love this camera. It is a significant upgrade. The lens and body combo is small and light. I have kids and dont want to be carrying around a lot of heavy gear. I get great photos. I also have some bigger lenses but dont use it as much

Great camera! I had a canon 5d mark ii before this and this camera is so much lighter. It also takes great pictures. I’m still getting the hang of all the buttons but I do find it relatively easy to use. Definitely do not regret switching to this camera.

Been using this A7RIII for a couple of months. Enjoying it's quality and ease of use, as well as the flexibility to adapt old lenses, easily shoot at low height with the tilt screen, minimize weight by using APS-C lenses, and switch between the beautiful view finder and the screen. Rating would be 5-Star, if the following issues were resolved. Intervalometer and Playmemories apps are missing! How the heck were these excluded??? Please issue a software update that includes them, ASAP. Also, still need to fix the Star-Eater issue.

This camera is all that they say it is and more. Every shot is beautiful. I switched from Canon to Sony and I am glad I did. Plus I saved $800 on Black Friday which I used to purchase two new lens for this camera. So many great features in this camera to make your photography and videography journey a lot easier.
