It does all the work for you and easily delivers awesome photos. You almost have to work to get bad results. It’s the best camera I’ve ever owned.

A Great Improvement To An Already Strong Line

This camera features upgraded buttons, grip and finally, a locking exposure compensation dial. Sony continues to listen and innovate based directly on the feedback of their users. Their ability to listen and implement so directly and quickly is something the camera industry is simply not used to. The 61MP sensor is something simply incredible. Way more resolution than most people need, but not a downside in any way. Just be prepared to stock up on some high-capacity memory cards. My love for this camera comes mainly from the increased comfort features I mentioned above, like buttons and the grip. If you are a serious photographer, take a serious look at this camera. There is really nothing to complain about.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.got it for video eye AF and tracking dont care for 61mp that much but on a well lit day you definitely see the difference on resolution low light performance isnt of course as good as a 24mp bsi sensor xtra fine xpegs come out around 40mb compared to 15ish mb of a7 iii also I noticed portraits are abit sharper with crisper colors probably due it being an R and not having extra filter layer in front of sensor. I like it so far.

I shot Sony for a number of years and love the ease of learning and use of their cameras. The same is true of this camera. It's pricy when you start adding multiple lenses to go with it, but it has been worth every dollar. The picture quality is also superb!!!

This camera is very user friendly (I have been shooting with Sony for 10 years), if you are familiar with the Sony menus you will not have any trouble getting familiar with this camera. Great battery life, the upgraded grip is much better then what the 7r2 had, it feels more secure in your hand.

Absolutely amazing

I am coming from a Nikon D750 (full frame DSLR) and the pictures this Sony captures is amazing. The auto focus, the tracking of subjects with auto focus, pet eye tracking, everything is just great about this camera. If you can afford it, but it. Also, make sure you buy good glass to go with it (G Master is worth it).

Even thought it doesn't have the speed of the A9, this 61mp full frame mirrorless camera is ridiculously capable in every aspect and I couldn't be happier owning it.

Aspiring professional photographer and wanted the extra pixels to crop super close without loss of resolution. This fits the bill perfectly. Great build quality and easy to use if you understand manual photography and shooting with RAW. Went with this over canon due to pro level lens prices. It was a very hard call though.
