Great Product for Video/Low Light

This mirrorless camera is the king of low light video/photography.. The ability to shoot video at 4k where you can go up the ISO to 51000+ with little to no noise at all. If you are taking pictures this camera will only go up to 12mp, not a very high resolution but perfect for instagram/facebook/ and prints on 11x8...
Note: When video at high ISO try over exposing 1/3+ to 1+ so that there is no noise in the dark areas of the video.

I have been enjoying this camera since the day one. This full frame mirrorless camera Sony a7s Mark II is amazing camera. It's small and works like a beast. It's low light capability is the best feature. Thank you Sony and BestBuy from the bottom of my heart. The sales person was very helpful and knowledgeable on camera.

I recently made the switch to Sony because of the low light capabilities and this camera is incredible! I mainly use it for concert videography and artist documentaries and i no longer have to stress about carrying a light!

I purchased the Sony A7SII to shoot 4K video. The picture quality is outstanding!!! I now have the ability to shoot video with professional results.Settings you only find on pro-cams such as s-log2 and s-log3 along with unbelievable low light sensitivity give me extended dynamic range and much less video noise in low light. With good glass, it would be very hard to make a better looking video at any price. I am very happy. Thanks Sony!

The whole Sony a7 line is impressive. I am a professional photographer but this camera took the best quality photos I've ever taken. And the video is incredible as well. Because I am a 20 year Canon user, I had a hard time figuring the camera out. I'm just not sure if the price is justifiable, I can get a camera from Canon that takes similar quality images for a better price.

This camera is awesome. It can shoot in very low light and still works great - you can basically make it look like daytime at night. I did return this camera, but my friend owns one and we have done some filming with his. We had one problem where the footage was turning red, but he reset the camera and hasn't had a problem with it since. The high frame rate, 4K internal recording and image stabilization are also pluses for this camera. It's small size is also great for traveling and filming handheld on longer shoots. Some caveats are that the battery life is very short (60 minutes) and not only is the camera itself a bit more expensive than other comparable cameras, but the lenses for it are also not cheap (depending on your budget).

I've worked professionally in the production industry for over a decade and I've been waiting for a camera like this to truly become real. Several have tried before but always fallen short somewhere. When you put 100mbps 4K together with extreme low light performance, Slog2 & Slog3, and 120fps in 1080p... all while being smaller than most DSLRs... you get something special.

Low Light Monster

This is a monster of a camera. If video is what you're out to do, I would recommend this camera for all around run and gun work. I also own the a7rII, and I actually prefer the R over the S, but the S has better low light capabilities, especially in full frame mode. the R will have to be in APSC mode to be comparable to the S (which is mainly what I shoot at). The S shoots great low light footage in 4K and also 120fps slow mo in full HD 1080p (the R shoots at 720p in 120fps).
I would definitely recommend the a7sII if you're looking for a low light beast of a camera.

If you're looking for the best low light mirrorless with internal 4K recording, look no further. The 5-axis stabilization is perfect for non-IS lenses and the newer design from the original a7s feels better in your hand.

Best Video DSLR on the market?

After a ton of research, my first camera purchase was an A7R II over the A7S II. Afterward, I picked up an a6500. My latest purchase was this gem. Looking back, I actually think I would have preferred the A7S II as my first camera. In my mind, the R has just one advantage over the S, and that is the 44 MP sensor. The R allows you to recompose any shot you could ever want down to about the smallest crop you could image. I'm talking printable images with 400% crop. This has really helped produce some phenomenal shots. Now, if you are an expert at composition and/or you take a ton of pictures every time you shoot, the advantage of the R is really lost. The S operates faster, has almost the same image quality (in real world shots), and is an ABSOLUTE BEAST as a video camera. The superior in body stabilization (side by side to the R, the S is just better), SLog 3, gamma assist, slow motion, and UNREAL low light performance make this a better camera. There I said it.

This camera is not for the hobbyist. This camera is for people who want to shoot professional grade video and photographs. The features of this camera and specs can be found online, but I was particularly impressed with its ability to shoot in low light without producing a far too grainy image, 4K video internally, and 1080 at 120 FPS. All of these features for under $5,000 is very impressive.

I am in awe of this Camera; the low light capability alone has revolutionized how I do video. I don't lug around my light kit everywhere I go when this camera. Amazing quality, recording format, slo mo, & internal 4k. So many pros! Only con is batteries are tiny little nuggets that don't last very long. But I have about 12 now & the pros outweigh this 10 fold.

We bought this a7sii and i'm blown away with the image quality, i recommend this camera if you are doing video work as this is really not that great for photos. This is by far the low light king, it shoots 4k @24fps and 30fps and up to 120 fps in full HD.
Battery performance is not the best compared to a DSLR so be ready to purchase at least 2 more batteries.

I upgraded from the Panasonic GH4 to the A7s ii and haven't regretted it one bit. I recommend this full-frame sensor camera to both professionals and armatures who are looking to get low-light capability (low noise) in both stills and video production. I've had my camera for less than a month and love it. Take a look at this setup that I shot with my new A7s ii on my slider https://www.instagram.com/p/BCQ2VuFEDFW/

Awesome low light camera with built in stabilization. This was my first DSLR and it was easy to use even for a beginner like me. You won’t be disappointed.
