We took this on our scuba diving trip and it worked awesome! We bought an open box version with everything in it and also bought the Sony selfie stick. I used a SanDisk Extreme Plus 64gb microSDXC card to take photos and videos. The wrist watch screen is very cool, more of a novelty in our case because we couldn't view it while the camera was underwater but we were not expected it to work that way anyway. The battery lasts along time, even doing videos. I got about 2 hours on one charge, filming the dives in HD. The software that comes with it is perfect for an amateur who wants to pull out photos from their video and also post clips. I would buy this again and recommend it to others, maybe bump up to the 4K version.

Nice Camera but it gets pretty hot. Hard to use with out remote viewer. Wish it fit my older hand held cam pack or they made one for this camera. 4K is O.K.

Nice camera but I really didn't care to have the 2 separate pieces and I felt the monitor was too small. Has a great picture but Just too small for me. I would recommend it to friends because everyone is different, it may work fine for someone else.

I purchased this after reviews from an On line Vlog, where they have and use a Go Pro interchangeably with this camera. This Sony is their Favorite and gives their Vlog a better picture. I have purchased several optional accessories and am experimenting with them.

Easy to use, perfect to take it everywhere and definitely easier to transfer video.

I used this camera to film in 4k underwater excellent video quality great for snorkeling.

I purchase this camera day one got on market, play a bit before i set it up correctly but cant complain about anything, didn't use the camera under the water but rest is just great, happy with image stabilization only lets say small disappointment with still images... could be better.... but i bought it mainly for Video and as i said just great didn't have other camera to compare but all my friends cant believe video is so good with such small thing and especially i take on ski trips .............. Love it should buy 4K but still happy....

Went with Sony as they have a good name, mistake. I used this camera while free diving and snorkeling in two islands in the Caribbean and am very disappointed. Images look ok on a smart phone, but when you view the videos/stills on a monitor, tv, or laptop, one can see how bad the clarity and sound is. Next trip I used a Kodak Pixpro SP-1 and was blown away with it's sharp images for both video and still snaps..a whole level up from the Sony. And the best part is the SP-1 needs NO extra water proof housing..it's completely sealed. Compact too. Lots of videos with this camera on youtube.

Great underwater and quality of video is much better than expected
