More compact than original, same relative cost

Batteries are a tight fit, but otherwise, it is more compact the original provided with either camera. Much easier to store too since it is smaller.

What I love about it is that it show how far along the battery needs to be charged. But what I truly love about this item is it that it won't keep charging your battery once it's all powered up in Case you forget to take it off like I did.

I use a sony a7sii and we all know battery life sucks so there's like 10 batteries to charge every time .

I've heard many stories of third party battery chargers not properly charging oem batteries to the full capacity. I know they are costly but are well worth the cost.

It plugs into a wall socket negating the need to connect the battery to the camera for a charge. Provides a fast charge and is worth the cost.

But the Sony camera said it takes up to 5 hours to charge camera battery, for maybe worst case 90 minutes of battery life. So, going on major retirement trips--a safari--I needed this.

Great Camera battery charger

If you can overcome the sticker shock, this thing is the may to go. Chargers batteries reliably and fast, so it well worth the extra cost

The meter shows charge level while charging. That's good ,but it would be better if you could put a battery in unit to see what its charge level was before charging. You can put a fully charged battery back in, and the charger shows no level like it was a dead battery.

The battery fits tight and it charges quickly. It is easy to forget you have it plugged in until you need it. I reccomend this charger for the Sony a6300 camera

I would not say that it's much faster charging if you have a device that charges in camera, as I have had a a6000 and a A7ii but having this will allow you to charge multiple batteries, one in camera and one outside in this device, if you have multiple batteries. Its nice compact and easy to store away or to travel with. I use Sony products and would never trust my Sony gear with generic batteries or chargers. Its not worth the risk to my safety or the investments I've made in my gear. No brainer what ever the price you pay for it.

Always have an extra battery so you can use the camera while charging the other battery and this charger makes it possible and very easy.
