Use it mostly for streaming and it works great. Easy to set up and great picture quality.

This system works great! Definitely worth the extra cost to get the 4K! Our TV synced with it easily, too, as we thought maybe being an older (5 years) model it might not. The system was also easy to set up. Pretty much a plug and play. We also want to give a shout out to our local Best Buy (San Marcos, CA)....all the employees there are super helpful, every time!

Hooked this player up to the modem/router with Ethernet option for extra speed, and to my new 65” 4K TV, and it plays a great picture and sound. I have played Blue Ray movies and DVDs in this unit and am happy with the quality. I have not tried CDs, and frankly don’t know if it is designed to play them. I have not played around with the available online/streaming options due to the fact I have a Smart TV and access those directly from the TV.

Great Blu Ray player. Very easy and intuitive to use. Much smaller than my older one so it easily fit in my av rack.

This blu ray is a nice size and easy to set up. And what a great picture . Well worth the price

I love the Upscaling. Can watch old DVD's on my 52" and it looks good. Blue Rays look great too, It brings my old movie collection back to life. Going to try to get back to getting disks again.

A good small size fits nicely under the TV. Connection to my Wifi was very easy the picture quality with the streaming and DVD is excellent. I would buy this product again.

Given that this is a Sony, it's fast with great video and audio quality for BluRays and DVDs, so I'll leave that to other reviews. Here I'll cover the extra features important in my house. One simple device for everyone in the house to learn and not have to flip between devices and learn different controls is a helpful beginning. The interface is simple and easily customized with the streaming services and NAS connection I want to see. It's a little annoying that the left hand 1/3 of the screen has Sony's "Featured Apps" and they can't be removed, but I'll live with that. Playing a variety of file types from my NAS (or PC at your house) is important to me. My SiliconDust HDHomeRun DVR is recording over the air TV shows (original format MPEG-TS to .mpg for full original quality), the kids videos are pass through of a variety of original formats to .mkv, and the music is FLAC. All these formats are common, but rarely all supported on the same device. Success on all counts for this player! As a frustrated former BDPS6200 owner, the next thing I tested was a 2 hour long Amazon Instant Video to make sure this unit didn't go haywire, lock up and start flooding my home network with traffic. Success! No freezing up on the video services. I am very happy with this new player.

Great player for the price, excellent picture, sound. Easy setup, steps done seamlessly, connects to internet.

So far so good. We haven't tried the upscaling feature yet because it is currently hooked up to a 1080P TV but everything else worked as advertised. Picture and sound are good, WIFI works well. These smaller units seem to be getting a little more difficult to find due to streaming but as far as I'm concerned, they offer a really nice alternative.

We got this unit for my father in law for the upscaling since he has many dvd's. I'm just a regular user and it seems to play everything fine and he doesn't need the apps on the unit so we never tested them out. Basically it's simple to use and hasn't had any complaints since we got it for him.

offers both wifi and ethernet for network connectivity. works very well in the Sony ecosystem, as the HDMI control simplifies operation. upscaling provides near Blu-ray resolution.

I bought this more for the streaming capabilities but learned it didn't do the exact same thing as ROKU which I thought it did. I was going to purchase both but the salesman said i could download the app to make it the same. Upon getting it hooked up I discovered you can't download of the Spectrum TV app. But that's ok, I needed a DVD player anyway so kept it. Getting ready to move so will wait to move forward.

I have yet to try the 4K upscaling, but aside from that this blu-ray player has been great!

Awesome DVD player. Its a 4k ultra HD with built in apps and you can add apps you want. You can pop up the menu while watching your program. I'm not computer savvy but this is easy for me. It did not come with a high speed 4k HDMI cable and you will have to purchase that separately. I bought one for $29.99 I am really happy with my purchase

This Blu-Ray player is compact and easy to use. The picture quality is great and there's no skipping (an issue I had with a prior Blu-Ray player) and software updates so far have been easy and not time consuming. I haven't used many app features because I have the same apps on my TV so I can't comment on that. I literally bought this just to play Blu-Ray and older DVD disks and it functions very well.
