Very good quality Sony BlueRay Player with WiFi at a budget price. Will buy another for other rooms

I have yet to try the 4K upscaling, but aside from that this blu-ray player has been great!

I bought this to replace an older Blu-ray player. I haven't used the streaming features yet since I already have streaming devices. But it was purchased for the kids collection of movies. I chose the Sony because it was a great price point for the features on this player. The picture, sound come through really nice on my Roku tv and Samsung sound bar. The remote functions are easy enough without being too large or small of size. Super happy with this purchase!

First, It's a Sony. This little player is about half the size of my previous player. I have used it several times now and I like it a lot. The remote is on the small side, but it works very well. When I put in a DVD it turns my TV on and loads my video right up. About the only thing left for me now is to adjust the volume. I also like some of the additional features. I have used this device several times to watch YouTube TV, for example. I have had a little trouble adding additional apps, but that's a very minor itch for me. Otherwise it just works great. No regrets on this purchase at all.

This Blu-Ray player is compact and easy to use. The picture quality is great and there's no skipping (an issue I had with a prior Blu-Ray player) and software updates so far have been easy and not time consuming. I haven't used many app features because I have the same apps on my TV so I can't comment on that. I literally bought this just to play Blu-Ray and older DVD disks and it functions very well.

A good basic blu-ray player at a basic price. It does what it is supposed to do, and even upscales ! It does not contain high-end features, I bought it as an additional machine, have had no complaints. The remote is IR so it has to be set up line of sight, but I have found that to be true even in higher end units.

I have been pleased with my purchase of the Sony - BDP-S6700 Streaming 4K Upscaling Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player - Black. Less than $100, it provides for Wi-Fi access to my internet connection for YouTube and Amazon Prime and many services. It also provides a 4K upscale feature which will help when I purchase a newer, larger, 4K TV screen.

Easy set up, works great, great picture quality, I love the compact size

Purchased my BDP-S6700 in November 2019, so right now it is 2 years old. Not used it much and played maybe 30 disks altogether over the time. Then it stopped working last week. Disks are not recognized and looks like can't be read. Disconnected it and reconnected and it works again. That is the most strange thing I noticed. I am now worried that the player will not work and it will fail soon. Other than that - it is kind of slow when streaming - so the picture seems pixelated when starting a video played online. MAC address information is not easily accessible for a user. It is there for a currently used connection, but there should be a better, more logical menu item for it preferably with both MAC addresses for Ethernet and wifi. It makes it little hard to setup. On positive note - it looks good, has small case and fits everywhere where needed. Remote works flawlessly and for the money it is well worth the 100 bucks price. I wish it had longer warranty though. When buying it - consider the longest plan available. I didn' t buy mine, and I regret it. Pay up and get it. Who knows how long the player will work for you.

This really does make your DVDs and Blu-rays look like they are 4K. Blu-rays are bright and sharp. Been watching a tv show from the 60’s on dvd. The facial features are so sharp that you can see the skin details even the acne. The details in the texture of the clothing is so sharp and clear for something that is over 50 years old. Easy setup. You’ll be happy with this player. Highly Recommended.

This is a good option for playing kids DVDs and BlueRay discs. We went with a lower priced model because I believe these players will be obsolete with streaming services dominating. There are some true 4K options, but we're no longer buying many discs and switching to streaming.

Unit hooked up to a Sony 46" 3D capable TV. Unit replaced an older Sony DVD player which began to freeze constantly. The new DVD player played DVDs that the older one was not able to without freezing. The remote control seems cheaply made. Was easy to hook unit to my home wifi network. Miss not having a visible "progress clock" on the unit.

Player was good and affordable but couldn't play 4k disc. Best buy swapped it out for me easily

Installation was a breeze! It mostly does everything by itself after you log it into your Wi-Fi. I read a consumer report that said SONY is the best 4K Upscaling Blu-ray player. I purchased this over the Samsung version because of the smart applications and uodates of the system over Wi-Fi. (The Samsung had no Wi-Fi capabilities.) Once I get my 4K HDMI cable, I'll be able to see the upscaling difference on my 4K TV.
