Really like the smalll size and is really easy to navigate. When I was having problems with my Vizio Smartcast for streaming I used my Sony ang again really easy to use.

Unit hooked up to a Sony 46" 3D capable TV. Unit replaced an older Sony DVD player which began to freeze constantly. The new DVD player played DVDs that the older one was not able to without freezing. The remote control seems cheaply made. Was easy to hook unit to my home wifi network. Miss not having a visible "progress clock" on the unit.

Installation was a breeze! It mostly does everything by itself after you log it into your Wi-Fi. I read a consumer report that said SONY is the best 4K Upscaling Blu-ray player. I purchased this over the Samsung version because of the smart applications and uodates of the system over Wi-Fi. (The Samsung had no Wi-Fi capabilities.) Once I get my 4K HDMI cable, I'll be able to see the upscaling difference on my 4K TV.

I was looking for a player that supported both 3d and 4k output (though not 4k disks, as I don't own any and primarily stream 4k content). This is a fast, easy to use player with a wide range of apps. Disks load quickly, and the up-conversion of DVDs is excellent. If you're in the market for an inexpensive, fast player that has a wide feature range without breaking the bank, I highly recommend this player.

Exactly what I needed. The upscaling has the picture looking crisp, and you can't beat the Netflix Spotify add-on. Perfect purchase.

I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and didn’t need anything fancy, so I decided on this older model. It’s just what I needed. Do take note: the Hulu and Disney+ apps are not available on this machine. Disney+wasn’t a surprise, but Hulu has been around for years.

We have a Sony entertainment system. Our blue-ray player stopped working. So, we bought this one to replace it. We did research and could not find a replacement for the player to work with the system. So, instead of getting a new system, we opted to get a stand alone blue-ray player . This was small and not expensive and works well! I only wish we could connect it to the system. That is my reason for only a 4-star rating.

I got my Sony BDP-S6700 thinking I’d have to buy a new one in a short while due to the upgrades on the streaming. I was wrong I’ve seen other new models but so far mine allow me to see my DVDs and blue rays besides offer me a range of streaming services. I’m quite please with the product reason I try to stay with Sony most of the time!

Sony makes some of the best functioning, reasonably price devices and this streaming-capable Blu-Ray player does not disappoint. I was able to set it up including connecting to my Amazon Video account within 5 minutes. The ups along to 4K provides an awesome experience for older movies. Nice simple remote allows for quick access to disc, apps, etc.

Good quality player and very compact. Image quality and resolution playing Blu Ray CDs is excellent. Good value.

I purchased this Sony Blu ray player a month ago. I waited for the date it was being released, and read reviews of people that bought it. After seeing all the positive reviews , I decided to order it. The picture is amazing on 4 k Bluerays, but regular Blu-ray movies look great also. I would recommend this player to a friend or anyone looking to upgrade their Blu-ray without spending allot of money.

This player is small in size but not in performance. Its ability to stream is a wonderful feature. It is limited to standard Blu-ray discs, but that was not a deal breaker for me.

This blue ray player does a fantastic job or upscaling to 4k if you use blu rays and upscaling to 1080p from dvds. Streaming is fast and reliable. The only issue I have is when my internet was cutting out due to a bad router I would have to unplug the player and plug it back in to get it to turn on but otherwise zero issues.

This is an Excellent Device! I purchased it to place in a spare bedroom. Connected it to a Television that is six years old. My old DVD's look great coming through here and the YouTube videos are almost as vivid as they are on my Smart TV. Make sure you get the 4K Ultra HD HDMI Cable for the best performance.

It's the perfect compact size for my needs. Picture quality is very good upscaled from HD to my 4k tv. Only regret is that the LED to show it's on is faint and hard to see in the daytime.
