We had a 10 year old Sony that would not play anymore so we wanted just to play blue ray but we decided to get this model because we wanted to upscale 4K. The picture seems better to me. And this may be my imagination but Netflix seems clearer to me. Does it send a better digital signal to the tv. I don’t know the answer but I’m very happy with my purchase.

Good quality player and very compact. Image quality and resolution playing Blu Ray CDs is excellent. Good value.

Quality pictures,easy to use,compact, fits in your pocket

Plays back DVD and Blu-ray disks without any issues. Netflix and Amazon work well. Have had several issues with playing YouTube videos, where the player freezes up and I have to unplug to reset. I've had the same issue with previous Sony Blu-ray players freezing up and having to unplug, so not new for me. Other than that, It's a great player for the money.

Nice blue ray player for the price. Sony makes a great product. It was easy to set up. Nice and small.

I purchased two of these units to replace my lightening destroyed players. I could not believe the picture quality and 4K upscaling. These units cost barely 1/4 of what I paid for my older units. I really like the smaller footprint and light weight.

This Blu-ray player puts out 4K for a decent price and to my surprise it actually played some DVDs in 4k but it up converts Blu-rays to 4K later DVDs to 4K and then regular DVDs to 1080p I definitely recommend purchasing this product if you don't want to spend the money on a 4K player definitely buy from Best Buy they have the best warranties

This is the one to get for streaming. Does not freeze up or lose connection like the LG. Spend the extra bucks to get this one if you want to stream. Plays dvds and blue rays great. The remote is good...but rather small. Does not have capability to stream Disney plus or the abiliy to download new or additional apps.

This player Is a excellent ítem, great performance all the way in every aspect. Quick, great streaming features, and at a great price, can't conplain

Beautiful picture easy setup wifi enabled quite play

This blu BDP- S6700 is a bad boy very light, don't take lots of space picture perfect and has lots of goodies what else do you want chicken and rice, its a very good product go ahead and buy it because the price is right. BEST BUY.

This is a nice little DVD player. Cheap inexpensive item that does the basics well. I only purchased it to watch instructional DVD's and CD's, although it does stream but with a limited number of apps. Other than that, it's great for the price.

i bought this to replace a player that stopped working after many years of good service. so far it is working great and has many useful apps on it. i am very happy with this one. the fact that it upscales old dvds to 4k makes them look much better

This one is a smaller size than a previous one, which I like. The picture quality is great. I have read about some concern with it indicating "No Disk" when there is one in there but you just have to wait a few more seconds for that to go away. We have another one of these which is several years old and have no complaints about that one either.

Got this for my daughter who needed something to play her (mostly) standard DVD collection of anime titles. I had a similar, but slightly older model. Sh had a new 4K TV, but wasn't going to be building a 4K collection, as she usually streams, but as mentioned, did have some older DVD's she would want to watch and she may purchase Blu-ray Discs or older std. DVD's in the future. Given this, we wanted a low price, but very nice upscaling set-up, and this fits the bill perfectly. Makes older DVD's look near blu-ray quality and it also has smart capability, so that is a plus as well. Did the job we needed marvelously!

It’s a good blu-ray player, easy to use and with good quality. For streaming... it seems like a little stupid: it’s not supported to install apps by user. All the apps were burned in with the software update of the player. Also doesn’t support single app update. It’s acceptable since the definition of this production is a blu-ray player, but not a streaming player.

Great present for the old folks who don't use smart tvs. Great quality on the UHD blu-rays, and also great upscaling, even from DVD.

This is my second Sony BDP-S6700. The first is still going strong; this was for another TV. The unit was east to set up and operate. The picture quality is very nice. Definitely worth it at this price point.
