    I bought this to replace my old dvd player and it works great! I also use this to convert my RCA signal to HDMI to use it as a smart tv unit for streaming. Works great and the price is good too.

    I bought this player when I bought my new 4K TV for the upscaling properties and the price. This player is quiet, and thin enough to slide right under the TV. The upscaling image quality is good. It has a lot of applications, but we typically use the TV for our Amazon and Netflix accounts, so we haven't really explored those, but isn't that the way with most AV equipment, these days? You pick the one with the best interface (definitely my Firestick and TV) and ignore the other devices.

    I'm always happy with Sony products and a very reasonable price. I priced around five or six different stores and Best buy was the cheapest so I went with Best buy which is where I buy my TVs and all my DVDs players
