i think it does a really good job. the 4k upscaling feature is especially nice. most of the dvds i have are standard (not blue ray) but paired with this dvd player and a 1080 tv you wouldn't know they weren't blue ray. i also really.really like that it has bluetooth audio. i am hearing impaired and with this feature and a wireless bluetooth headphone, i can enjoy the dvd (better than with my hearing aids) without blasting everyone else out. the only complaints i have are that it responds to the remote control sluggishly and the remote says it will control the type tv i have but while listed, it will not pair to it.

I bought this for my dad for his Birthday. It was easy to set up, the picture is great and the menu layout is nice. I was able to easily set up the Wi-Fi network.

This Sony DVD player was so easy to connect to my TV. I had it connected in about five minutes. The picture quality is very good. The remote is small and easy to operate. I wish it had buttons on the unit to allow the option of using it without the remote. Overall it is a great player

My old Sony Blu-Ray decided to stop recognizing DVDs so it was time for a replacement. I checked out this DVD on the Best Buy website and it seemed to have more features than I could ever want. And it's smaller in size and cost about as much as my old one did. It was an easy swap-out, zero issues. My older Harmony Remote controls it without any issues. No need to call out the Geek Squad. It is capable of streaming several apps including Netflix and YouTube. I love the new onscreen interface. Easy to maneuver through. Highly recommend!

Great pick up with all the features we needed for our living room. Since we still have blu ray 3Ds and a tv w/ 3D features it was nice to have this player for that feature as well as being able to pick up WiFi for streaming, and upscaling videos to 4K quality. If you're not a gamer, then you can buy something like this rather than buying a PS4. It actually picks up and streams from our wifi at home better than the PS4 for some reason. My only complaint is that that it doesn't come with Plex as an app or option to download Plex to the Player, however, you can access it through the operaTV app.

It's amazing how small Blu Ray players have gotten these days. Small package yet powerful Blu Ray player that plays movies seamlessly and also many great online options.

Number one on my list for a top line Upscaling Blu-ray Player. I am 72 years old and for had eight Players. This is far and away the best one in every way you want in a Biu-ray Player. P.S Top of the line.

I bought this thinking that the use of DVDs are going out of style and won't be used much longer. I felt that I needed to have it before they are no longer available. I hope that the DVD makes a comeback! Who wants to keep paying for replenishing the lost streaming item that was purchased? DVD is much better for me!

I guys I was using pioneer BDP -170 which was a great Bluray player but it was not having Netflix and the streaming speed was bit slow , so I thought of upgrading to Sony BDP -6700 . Pros - 1. great picture quality . 2. Streaming speed is good . 3. Quick startup . 4. If you have a 4k TV , the upscaling from FHD to 4k is really good . Cons 1. Very light and plasticy feel . 2. Some noise while playing Bluray disc. Over all 8/10. I would really suggest this player .

Using with 55 in 3D plasma tv play movies over 6 speaker system at a quality better than the theater. Apps a nice bonus. Compact , easy set up.
