I replaced a previous DVD player/streamer with this Sony model, and I absolutely love it. First, it is a small unit and fits perfectly on my dresser. Second, the apps that are loaded are all that I could ever want. Third, the remote is easy to see and use, and even has a quick shortcut to Netflix which is nice. Fourth, and most importantly, this player has 5G wifi accessibility, which is the main reason I bought it. The device streams quickly and I have very little buffering, which makes streaming very easy.

While I cannot speak to the durability of this streaming BD player I can say I like it so far. This player is 3 rooms away from my router,yet the Wi-Fi is very powerful and connects very fast.. BD's and DVD's look great too. The only thing that annoys me is I've had to restart it 3 or 4 times by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in. I've had to reboot because it just freezes and won't do anything! At present this is a minor irritation but if this problem persists I will not be happy. Overall I'm pleased with it's performance.....So far,So good.

Small footprint and easy to connect to start watching DVDs. Picture is excellent and overall easy system to use. My previous DVD player stopped working and I was looking for an inexpensive Blu-ray player that did not take up a lot of space. I do not have a need to use the apps as I already have a Smart TV, but I did connect this player to my Internet which was easy to do and updated the device's firmware.

I like Sony products. Reasonably priced. Great quality and easy to install (for an 11 year old!)

Awesome picture and sound. Easy installation. Works great with new 4K TV. Great choice for the money. Perfect size for the space I had available.

My previous Blu-ray player died after a few years of faithful service. It’s 3pm, I read the Best Buy reviews of Blu-ray players and use one hour pickup for my new Sony BDP-S6700. Excellent purchase. Installation was quick and easy. My kids were streaming before dinner. The picture quality and sound were better than my Samsung. Good value for $99.

Impressive disc player integrates well with my Sony TV. Setup simple, firmware updated quickly. Picture is great. I was a bit confused by the menu options until I realized it recognized the TV and was relying on it for the upscaling. My only compaint is that you can't get rid of the "featured apps" on the home screen. In the past, Sony devices let you get rid of the annoying adverstising but apparently no more. USB is a plus.

The last blu ray player i bought was a Panasonic and it lasted about 4 months...I will never buy another Panasonic...However the Sony Blu Ray gives an excellent picture....Easy to operate...I haven't used the 3D feature yet but i am sure that would work great too.....Just make sure you don't misplace the remote because i don't see buttons to turn it on on the outside of the blue ray...I am very happy with my purchase..

The product plays my regular DVDs well and looks great on my tv. I bought this as an open box and it was missing the power cord. I found the power cord online and it works great.

The player does a great job playing DVDs and Blu-ray disks. It fits in our master bedroom's entertainment center with room to spare and it does not overheat!

I'm not a huge DVD/Bluray watcher so I was just looking for a decent player. I have a 65" 4k 3D Sony TV so I wanted something compatible and I wasn't disappointed. This little player connected to my home network before I even knew it. Almost automatically and it integrates with my TV and BOSE home theatre perfectly! Automatically switches over to the correct input when I turn it on and back to the tv when I'm done. Does a good job of upscaling discs as well. I haven't tried the 3D yet so I can't comment on that.

Found this item on sale with shopping for a blu-ray player for the master bedroom If it is a straight forward player with streaming, wi-fi, and 4K upscaling. We have added this to a setup that included a projector and an amazon fire tv unit - so we mainly purchased this for the blu- ray capabilities as we did not have a blu-ray player in this location. it is also not an overly large unit so it fits well where we have it located. Overall this has met our needs quite nicely.

It's a good player,doesn't take up much room at all, very light. It has good apps on it,like Amazon,Netflix. and Tubi. The one negative, I was told you could add apps but you can't. You can only play what's on there. If you want to play your BRs and DVDs,or watch Prime or Netflix, it's a good player for you. If you're looking to watch Disney, Hulu or something else, you'll have to get a different player.

Easy to install and operate. Has Wi-Fi access for all the major streaming services. Very small, requires little space.

DVD and Blu-ray may be old school school technology but there is still a lot of content to be found in this format. Blu-ray provides stunning video and killer audio. This deck does a good job at upscaling standard DVD’s as well. It is compact, easy to set up and works right out of the box. Not an industrial quality machine but for occasional home use it is perfect, especially at the price. Great video and audio quality!

This product is very compact. It has a great picture thru the TV hook up. Very easy to set up.

Blue ray discs and streaming Netflix look great on my 4K TV. Very easy set up. Player itself is very small so perfect for cabinets.

Great streaming apps and quality pictures. DVD player works well easy to set up. Compact size. If you opt for power save option it takes longer to power on. When new apps are available can upgrade. I love it since I don’t have a smart TV. I like the Amazon Prime App so I don’t have to use my phone or laptop to watch programs.

This is a superb blue ray player which will upscale DVD playback. Easy to use and I highly recommend this Sony unit.
