Love the extras
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty good machine it gives lots of options. There are plenty of apps however it is very slow and does not remember passwords so you must input for every user every time. Further, it freezes and must be truned off and on to reboot. Also the remote is super frigile and lite.

Great way to receive streaming tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a couple of challenges getting things going and have needed to reboot a couple of times but the quality is really pretty good. Apple TV is a bit faster, but this gives me good access to other things.

Slow and Quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not sure what the deal is, but my blu ray player is super quiet on audio compared to my Apple TV or game consoles. The UI is also pretty terrible for the streaming services. And overall it's a slow machine. But, I paid like $50 on Black Friday and it's only purpose is playing blu rays so I'm not too upset about it.

Decent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this smart blu-ray because it was necessary with the new tv I purchased. Though it is a little slow to initiate stream, it will do. Like the multi function.

Slow blu-ray player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grandparents needed one on short notice, and wanted something on the cheaper side. I don't recommend it because it's slow and doesn't have many apps. I've had better luck with LG products.

Slow, Buggy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here is the problem I'm having. I have the "Favorite" button setup for Pandora 1. While watching a DVD or Blu-Ray, I click on the Netflix button and it (slowly) goes to Netflix. 2. Now I'm in Netflix but want change to Pandora so I click the "Favorite" (Pandora) button, the TV screen goes black and the BDP-S5300 freezes/locks up. Sometimes just ejecting and then closing the tray, the TV screen goes black and the BDP-S5300 freezes/locks up. When it freezes/locks up, even the "Power" buttons don't work, you have to unplug the power supply to get the BDP-S5300 to come back on. I have tried rental Blu-Rays and DVDs and even a brand new freshly opened DVD, all these discs play on an older player. Besides being underpowered and slow, the BDP-S5300 is buggy, this one is going back for refund.
