This is a great blu-ray player and the fact that it has 4k upscaling is an added bonus. The online features such as Netflix are very responsive and almost as fast as when I log in using my personal computer.

The Sony BDP S6500 3D Blu Ray Player plays back discs with a sharp, clear image. Because I have owned t his unit for only a few weeks, I have been having a couple of technical issues, one of which was a gray screen when the 3D signal was verified. Another time a "prohibited action" box appeared on the screen. I am not sure what caused these events to occur. I have a Harmony Ultimate Remote, which has a tendency to lose its "control" screen on a too-frequent basis, and this, I think, may affect the operation of the Blu Ray Player. I do not use the Blu Ray Player for streaming, only disc play-back. I have a Sony television. All-in-all the picture quality is excellent. I just hope I do not encounter technical issues too often.

I bought this Sony unit at the recommendation of a Best Buy salesperson after the 6700 unit I bought failed. It was cheaper and it has more features so as long as the wifi connection continues to work, I am a happy customer.

Beyond surprised at what this small yet effective blu-ray player can do. Bought it for my mom for Christmas. Does everything she needs and is small, perfect for limited space in the entertainment center.

Sony always makes a good product and this one is no exception! No real setup just plug and play but I do like that it has wifi connect and you can choose the apps you want to appear on the main screen.

Great Blu-ray player would definitely buy another one.

sony created blu ray. this is my 2nd sony BD receiver purchased, this time including 3D. combo’d with my sony 3D 4K TV, it’s great. oh, the price is excellent too.

This was a perfect addition to allow us wi-fi between 2 large tv's so we could link everything -- cable, tv, internet, super bowl, etc. and have it show up in both screens without the audio delay, etc. :-)

Have the Home and Echo Dot. Both were easy to set up. Home has more in formation available due to its ability to use the Google search engine. When I put the side by side and ask the same general questions, Home wins out.

The quality is amazing and it hooks easily to the wifi for internet access. I really love the different streaming sites it connects to with very little effort. I would recommend this player to all my friends.

Blu-ray player works well and is easy to use. This is the 3rd Sony Blu-ray player I have purchased because the remotes are interchangeable and work well with my Sony TVs.
