There's not much 4K content out there right now, so if you want the "blow your hair back" home theater experience, Blu-Ray is where it's at. Yes, 4K DVD players are on the horizon, but are you really going to pay top dollar for a jump in clarity imperceptible to the the human eye? This DVD player is small, but it packs a punch. Buy with confidence.

Excellent player for anyone without a smart tv

I bought this to see if a different brand of bluray wold make a difference. It did and it works perfectly. The Netflix app on the player actually produces a higher quality image than the app on the tv. It has all the apps anyone needs without the cost of a smart tv. My only complaint is that I can not use a wireless controller for the Playstation now app.

Nice 4K Upscale BluRay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since Sony doesn't offer a 4K Blu Ray player yet plus the cost of 4K BRs are still expensive, this is the best option in my opinion. Unit is around $100 and really makes DVDs and BRs look like they are recorded in 4K. I'm a Sony guy so the remote and menus are Sony intuitive. Simple. Quick and easy hookup. Works well with Sony TV remote also.
