The tray can get stuck open but all you need to do is push it in. There is no lights or display to show that it is on but it is not a problem since the picture comes up quickly. The remote is small but works fine. If you need a cheap and reliable bluray player i highly recommend this one.

Like how it works with my Samsung TV

It works well with the Samsung TV and when turned on automatically goes to the right setting on the TV to view it, even though the TV is a Samsung. Quality of product is great

My First Blu-Ray Player

The 4K up scaling is just beautiful on my new 4K Hisense TV. Apps like Netflix run great. I hear you could use this for PlayStation game streaming too... maybe I'll try that in the future. I was looking forward to playing the new Final Fantasy 7 remake.

This unit did not disappoint. Small, quiet, superior quality playback, simple to set up and use. Everything you want in a product. This is a replacement for our primary Blu Ray player (also was a Sony) that was wiped out by a flood.
