Good value for upscaling 4k and Smart Features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice compact Blu Ray. The Apps work better than on the Sony so-called Google-fat "Smart" TV. Have watched some ancient DVDs such as "North by Northwest" on a 4K Sony and the picture was great. No clouding or color fall-outs. But in the dark, have to turn on a light to see the eject button. A couple of simple LEDS on the buttons would be nice.

easy to hookup

Great upgrade for a Blu-ray Player

I had to look for a replacement. This BDPS6500 model is much smaller and the the picture quality is great. I like the USB port where I can play a video file on a thumb drive. It's a great upgrade for a Blu-ray Player.

Solid performer with basic apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a replacement player for my 2008 Sony Bluray and this one plays all my disks well, even self-burned DVD-R. I don't have a 4K TV. I did want the 300+ apps advertised for this player and was disappointed to find only 97. Sony customer service told me you can't add any more. If you own a smart TV with Google OS then you can access apps in Google Play Store. My TV only gives me access to Opera TV Store.

Good Soundbar
