We were in the market for a Blu-Ray player and had picked one up from Costco. Thinking that since we picked up the "best" and "more expensive" brand/model they had there, it would work great! WRONG!!!! The darn thing had trouble reading 2 different Blu-Ray movies. We thought it was the discs itself and was going to return them but upon trying yet another disc, we concluded that it was the Samsung Blu-Ray player being finicky. So off to Costco it went. Stumbled upon the Sony S6500 on BB's site and read the reviews and decided to give it a try. It was 1/3 the price of the Samsung so we weren't holding our breath. But it works great!!!!!!!! With this unit, we were able to fast forward at a slow pace and not have to skip chapters like the Samsung did. We were able to "scrub" thru to a point we wanted to missed or wanted to go to. Needless to say, we haven't had any issues playing ANY disc. This only goes to show you paying more doesn't mean you'll get more. And Sony is a trusting brand. We only went with the Samsung since we have Samsung 4K TVs.

Looking for a basic Blu-ray player with built in w--fi. Selected because it was on sale. Very happy with it so far.

Nice clear picture. Playing regular DVDs is better than any other DVD player.

You will not be disappointed with the Sony Blu-ray player, has excellent picture and sound. HDMI, also can be connected to your network. Up-scaling available for DVDs, is compatible. And a great price as well! Very happy with my purchase!

Purchased this DVD player as a gift for a friend. He recently purchased a 4K TV and loves the streaming abilities of this unit.

I use it mostly to watch Netflix. I also like to the fact I can get surf the internet.

This is my third blu-ray player I have owned and it is the best I have owned thus far! It has a great selection of apps and the DVD upscaling is very good! I like the remote also, it is much better than the others I've had! The deciding factor is time I have only had this player for a few months and it usually takes a year or two for these players to break down. This Sony player has been excellent so far I highly recommend it!

Super small blu-ray player that plays a amazingly beautiful picture. Love the USB up front too.

The player is fast and has great smart features very easily. The player is compact and quiet and easy to use.

I use this with my Samsung 60 inch 4K 3-D television and it works very well. The picture is crisp and clear.
