4K upscaling, 3D, WiFi, apps - this DVD player has it all and great price!

Upscales the DVD picture to Blu-Ray quality. Love the wifi capability.

I was surprised at the small size of this DVD player. It was nice that it did not take up a lot of room on entertainment center. But WOW it delivers some powerful picture quality. Whether viewing DVD, Blu-ray, or watching NETFLIX, the 4K and upscaling looks amazing. Even the remote is small, so if you have problems with small remotes, maybe add a universal remote.

This is the third Sony DVD/Smart Player I purchased. The product comes at a great price with even better features in each new version. Upscaling provides a crystal clear picture and it has all of the streaming services I use.

This blu ray player functions as all other players, I own both the PS4 & X-Box One and didn't necessarily need this blu-ray player but purchased for the 4K upscale. To be honest, my tv upscales so I can't tell if the blu ray player or the tv is the one doing the work but it does look incredible on a 4k OLED tv.

Clear quality. Great apps. Very convenient. Easy to use.

nice size compact good picture no problems so far easy to get started

I picked this up on sale with a bunch of other stuff, and I'll never buy a DVD player again. The upscaling is great, even though my TV only goes to 720p. It's nice to have my old DVDs play on the full screen, instead of the old way of having the 4-inch black band around my movies. Loaded with features, and I like the wifi connection for firmware updates.

Outstanding picture, easy set up, compact size and easy to operate.

I bought this device for my home theatre I can say that 'm very satisfied with my purchase. Some of the things I love about this Blu Ray are the small foot print, sleek design, intuitive remote control and on-screen menus. I would recommend it to those looking for flawless picture quality solid performance and powerful yet simple user interface .

Replaced a Sony BPS200 bluray player (one of the first bluray players on the market) with the 6500 so I expected great quality. Sony did not disappoint. Picture and sound quality is fantastic. The smaller footprint takes up less space in my A/V closet. Very satisfied.

I bought this Bluray Player because my old DVD player stopped working. I didn't want to spend too much and this was the right price for a name brand item. The set-up of this Sonywent very easy, but it took a bit to get used to the fact that I could use my phone as remote. It works fine but was a little different from what I was used to.

Upscales to 4k very easy to use interface lots of apps

pretty much plug n play and once set up it does everything in an easy to use interface/menu. picture is really crisp, upscaling is noticeable, all the streaming options are built in. an all in one device.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEW TV AND I JUST HAD TO UPGRADE FROM DVD TO BLU RAY... BEST CHOICE I EVER MADE BY PURCHASING A SONY BLU-RAY PLAYER, I WILL NEVER BUY REGULAR DVD AGAIN! BUILT IN WIFI IS GREAT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE DEAL WITH MORE WIRES, AND THE APPS ARE A HUGE PLUS! ITS ALL I NEED TO RELAX ON WEEKENDS AND AFTER WORK.

The unit was easy to install and setup. The upscaling to 4k was amazing. The apps available still did not include HBO and and SONY should look into upgrading their wifi to ac aswell as adding more apps. my 4k Vizio came with ac included as well as 240 refresh compared to the 120 they offer now, so that incteases the quality of blu-ray experience

So far, very happy with the Sony. I have it hooked to a smart TV (Vizio) so I haven't had a need to use the streaming or upscaling functions since my TV does it. My buying choice was between this Sony and the comparable Samsung model. Went with the Sony based on reviews and recommendation from Best Buy associate.

Set-up was a breeze after I plugged in a full size keyboard to set up my accounts to Netflix, Pandora and others. I discovered something excellent with this player: It not only remembers where you left off, but it remembers from disc to disc. I was watching a show (play all) season and switched out to another disc of a different TV show in the middle of an episode. When I put the first disc back in it said I could resume from the last stop. First I thought that there was something wrong, but I tried it and sure enough it continued from where I had left off on that disc. I've done this several times now, switching between several discs; and it always remembers where I left off on each one! Amazing!

I have owned 3 different Samsung Blu Ray Players and was never satisfied with the features or quality. I decided to try a Sony this time since I purchased a Sony TV this time and I am really glad I did. This player is spot on with features and great quality. It is very intuitive to use and the picture is outstanding.

After carefully going over reviews I decided to buy this Sony product and have no regrets. This being my first Blu ray player, with upgraded versions in the near future at a considerably higher price, I feel I made the right choice. The player is very user friendly, compact and the remote is uncomplicated.
