Easy to setup and plays all my 3D Blu-ray disks. Picture and sound quality is excellent.

Purchased for my parents to get them Netflix. Once I walked them through the streaming process, they have been going crazy watching TV shows, movies, and youtube. Simple set up, and once my lesson was over, I have not heard back from them with questions/problems. That is the best testament I can think of. Not sure if they have even used it for DVD/Bluray player, but I am sure it does that just fine too.

Setup was easy and the operation is much faster than my other Sony non 3D player. It is quite small and light, which at first was awkward. The 3D works quite well and met our expectations

I researched a number of players in this price range and found this to be the best deal for the money. I've always trusted Sony products and this maintains that trust. The only negative things I can say about this player are that its' appearance is rather cheap and flimsy-looking and there were some set-up issues that needed to be sorted through, but other than that, I'm very pleased with this product.

This is a nice looking and compact unit and provides great picture quality on my 4K TV.

Bought this because I read online that it upscales DVDs as well as Blu Ray films. I don't think it upscales DVDs at all. Probably could have gone with a $39 model instead. But it's nice.

This is my first stand alone BD player and since it's Sony I assumed it would be similar to my PS3. Well it's sorta similar but much, much slower. For some reason it doesn't automatically connect to the internet even though I have it connected via Cat5 and not wireless. When opening YouTube or any other online app, it takes a good 10 seconds to "connect to the internet" and then wastes more time with notifications that it's connected. Just not smooth like a Roku or a smart TV. My other gripe is the until auto plays disks and there is no setting to turn that off. I've looked everywhere and cannot find an option. So if you leave a disk in, but you turn on the until to play Hulu you have to waste time while the disk loads and then tell it to stop. I've also noticed that the unit chokes on some movies and I have to close out of the movie and restart before it will pick back up. I attempted to watch The Avengers in 3D. After taking forever to finally hit play, the unit went black and just sat there for a couple minutes doing nothing. I had to hit stop and then play again and wait for everything to load and hit play again. It then worked on the 2nd attempt. I expect better from a Sony product especially with something as simple as basic movie playback.

Excellent performance Sony never disappoints! Easy set up & menus. Highly recommend.

This was purchase for my 34 year old son for his birthday. This is what he told me he wanted......so I bought it for him. I'm glad I made him happy. He says he loves it.

I have been using this product for couple of months now with no issue as such. The set up hardly took any time and it's very easy to use as well. If you already have Sony tv or sound system remotes, then you can use its remote and features just like that. Issue: only issue that I am seeing is that the whole screen will freeze for couple of secs when you stop playing a DVD/bluray, and then the home screen will display.

Overall I have been very happy with this 4K upscaling Blu-ray player. I purchased it just over a year ago at the same time I bought a 4K TV because it was highly recommended by one of the Best Buy sales people. I have only had a couple instances where the player seem to get hung up and stop playing the movie. Simply shutting the player off and turning it back on seem to fix the problem and we were able to finish the movie.
