I purchased this for my 4k TV and it works great. I don't plan on using the smart feature, I use the smart feature on my TV, however I do recommend downloading all the appropriate updates. For me this is a better alternative than buying a full 4k DVD player, it up scale nice and I am happy with it.

I had an older smart TV with a limited set of applications that were not upgradeable. Connecting this unit to the TV provided both a high quality Blu-Ray player plus a new set of Smart TV applications that would otherwise required replacing the set. The unit was simple to set up, connect and works great.

We haven't had this player long enough to testify as to the reliability or longevity of the machine. Our old 3D player didn't last too long so we had to replace it and since we already had a 4k tv we decided to give this a try. It gives a good picture , a step up from a regular blue-ray player... keep in mind it will not play 4k dvds.

Reasonably priced, and the set up was user friendly.

I bought this player at the same time I bought the Sony Android TV and have not had any issue with it thus far.

This dvd player beats my old one hands down. It connects to the internet very quickly and do not have any problems with the reception. I used to get pauses, stops and other annoying things happen when watching a movie on vudu or other streaming sites. This one is perfect. Best purchase I made in 2016.

big results from a small compact unit, great for netflix

Very nice video. With non-Blu-ray dvd's, you really need that center speaker to be able to hear dialogue over background sound.

After returning ( to another retailer ) several other players I am happy with this product. Sometimes it does lose the wireless connection upon turning it on but, that may be user fault on trying to access programming faster then the unit is connecting. Set up was simple with easy to follow instructions.

Last DVD plus VHS was purchased within the last few years, so we could also play VHS if we wanted. Needless to say, we never used the VHS, and the sound on this Toshiba model was very poor. It also had a very short life and the DVD part broke. We really like our new Sony DVD for the sound is amazing.

Easy setup and works great! Only issue that I have is that, occasionally, I put in a disc and the screen goes black and it won't eject, power down or do anything at all. I have to unplug it to reboot it and it works fine. No clue why... I bought the same one for my dad. I'll have to ask him if he's having the same issue.

Sony - BDPS6500 Streaming 4K Upscaling 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player - Black. I have 3 other older Blu-ray Players in the house, with various play back problems. This player can play anything, including the MP4 files that I recorded with my Panasonic 4K during my Hawaiian trip. Love this unit.

The 3d upscale is excellent as it gives another dimension to the viewing experience. What you expect from Sony.

Purchased a Sony 4k tv and need a blue ray player to go with it. So I stuck with the matching Sony 4k upscale blue ray player. Absolutely amazing. My only complaint so far is the internet connection. It won't hold. Its in and out. Which doesn't effect the viewing but I can't update the software. Other then that no complaints

This thing works like a champ! Blu-ray upscaling is most excellent on my 4K Sony Bravia as is the 3D viewing.

It's a nice 4K BlueRay player with some of the usual internet apps that comes with good quality players now. If you plan on using this for 4K BlueRays, then this is a great product. If you plan on using this product for all the other internet features, just go get a Roku or something of that nature.
