We were wanting a basic turntable for low cost, for our daughter. We first bought one of those suitcase turntables and it was AWFUL. We thought the albums we bought had massive scratches on them because of how poorly they played. We took that back and got the Sony Bluetooth turntable and couldn't be happier. We would have probably gotten it without the auto functions to save money, but I'm so happy it includes it because our daughter isn't super attentive and I could totally see her forgetting to put the tonearm back once one side is over, which would ruin the stylus. Having bluetooth is also great because all she has is a Bose mini bluetooth speaker. Great sound - great functionality (auto function + bluetooth) - and it looks good too. I am no audiophile so I can't speak to true sound as someone else could appreciate, but to my ears it sounds really good. I'm going 5 stars on this because of how much bang for the buck you get plus what I think is good sound.

This was a graduation gift for my stepson. He loved it! I own a Turntable that's a little more expensive than this one and I think this one is just as good. It has a sleek look and doesn't take up space. He loves his Bluetooth and it will pair nice with some decent speakers.

Let me preface this by saying I shopped, and shopped, and shopped for a new turntable. I read reviews until I was sick of reading reviews. I ultimately pulled the trigger on this Sony turntable. I was about 90% decided on it, but when I walked into Best Buy one day and it was actually sitting there in stock, I snagged it up. I'm glad I did. It has been nothing short if excellent. It's very modern yet minimalist looking, which, I personally enjoy. It packs some great technology, especially for the price point, and it sounds fantastic. Sony knows electronics and Sony knows music. They tackled both here with high regard. I love the fact that it has a preamp so that I can hookup up an analog speaker system. On the other hand, if I want to listen to it on a Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth headphones, I also have that option. Bluetooth works flawlessly. When hooked up to speakers the sound has great clarity and sounds awesome. The auto/start stop is amazing as well. I know some people like the ritual of placing the tonearm on the record themselves, and you still can with this turntable, but you can also just hit start and walk away. I use it often and it has been precise and great. If I'm away and the record ends, no worry, the tonearm goes back to it's resting place on it's own and the records stops. Brilliant. I really l've this turntable and I think you will too!
Hi ZacharyB, thanks for the 5-star rating! We're truly honored to hear you're loving the Sony - PSLX310BT. It's designed to combine classic vinyl warmth with modern convenience, and it's great to know the seamless Bluetooth pairing and stylish design are hitting the mark. Whether you're spinning records or simply admiring it as a display piece, we're happy it's bringing you joy. Thanks for making Sony part of your listening experience! Regards, -Dominick

I've been a HUGE Sony enthusiast over the years with pretty much all electronics however, never with turntables. I've been a staunch supporter of Audio Technica's direct drive turntables. The build quality is amazing. I never had interest in a flimsy looking plastic turntable. However, my Audio Technica is manual and many times I've woke up to see my wife played a record and forgot to turn it off so the needle was getting quite the 8 hour workout. I decided to buy this to match the rest of my Sony audio equipment and because it was an automatic and WOW, the sound that comes out of this thing is IMPRESSIVE. It might sound better than my Audio Technica which cost $250 more than this. This thing produces phenomenal sound and it's on par or better than competing brands that are twice as much.
Pros: AMAZING sound quality from your vinyl collection. It's automatic so you don't have to move the arm at all. Sleak look that matches other Sony equipment. Built in pre-amp.
Cons: Very lightweight, cheap looking build.

My wife and I were looking for an affordable entry into turntables. I only knew that I didnt want one of the all in one units. Went with this because of the Sony brand, the automatic tonearm and the ability to rip to usb. Sound quality is great! Only negative is the inability to upgrade cartridges and stylus, but at this price I imagine that is normal.
Highly recommend !

This was my first turntable purchase and I had no prior experience with any turntable, so cannot compare with other models. Bought it on discount over the holiday season, but after having used it, would've be okay with paying full price.
Setup was easy and straightforward for wired connection to an AMP and from there to powered desktop speakers/wired headphone. BT connection was easy to setup as well, though I cannot comment on range as speakers were under 10 ft away. I did not try the PC connection to digitize music. I will most likely be using the wired connection, but the added BT functionality is a plus for when I don't want to deal with wires. So far haven't run into any issues with any component.
Having mainly consumed music in the post-CD era, the loss of the usual controls after pressing play was something I had not considered. I treat it as a nice reminder to slow down, give up control and just enjoy something. It also helped me appreciate the album, as opposed to just certain songs. And lastly, there is something nice about the heft of the records, and the mechanical nature of it all. It is old-school tech, but I think that's part of its charm.

Amazing turntable exactly what I was looking for. Didn't want a phono connection and my receiver doesn't have a Bluetooth option. So I purchased a Bluetooth receiver that came with optical connections. I added that to my receiver and the turntable connected instantly. I sounds amazing and super happy.

Setup took 20 mins. It's very easy to use. The look is super sleek. The sound is crisp. Only downside, bluetooth does not connect to cell phones. Still would recommend this product.
no room for upgrading, but not everyone needs that

It's a solid beginners turntable. No much room for upgrading and while the build is nice, it is a bit plasticky... not like a nice solid metal or hard plastic finish.
Sound quality, features, and everything is great! Surprised how much i love the Bluetooth feature.
Entry level price and entry level product that is classic Sony quality.
If you're serious about getting into vinyl and upgrading the tone arm, cartridge, plinth, etc. this is not for you. Get something with upgradable components
If you want an out of the box turntable that has all the nifty features like bluetooth, auto-play, and a solid sound/build this is it.

This turntable is very nice. Sound quality is good and it can play multiple size records. It is easy to use and the only thing I do not like is that the start and stop buttons feels very flimsy and like they could break any second with a little too much pressure. I do recommend this turntable for the quality and the bluetooth connectivity. It is easy to setup.

Love the sleek design than the Audio Technica. Auto start/stop and Bluetooth are the best features of this turntable. Definitely punches up in its own class and price. Ive had an incredible experieince pairing this with a Sony bookshelf and reciever.

I purchased this Sony turntable as a Christmas gift for my wife. She is NOT an electronic/tech type person, so I was pleasantly surprised when she effortlessly assembled this and connected her new powered bookshelf speakers. The only trick she missed was switching from "phono" out to "line" out. This turntable sounds amazing, and it's simple enough for a novice to enjoy. Now, I'm wanting to purchase my own albums for when she's not spinning.

Clean, sleek design, very user-friendly, with a high-quality build and wonderful sound when paired with my Sony receiver and speakers. Really satisfied with this purchase.

I purchased this Sony turntable after I had to return another brand. Turntable was slightly challenging to put together for me. But once I got through the process of locating and putting the drive belt on the pulley, it was easy. (Tip: belt is not a separate item - it is installed and located on the bottom of the turn platter.) It is the best turntable I have ever owned. Very well made. Using my Bose Bluetooth speaker to run the sound was easy. Turntable has a switch should you want to hook up to an amp. But I used the pre-amp built in for Bluetooth speaker and the Bluetooth sound quality is exceptional. I had forgotten how great the 33 vinyl sound is, even with my albums as old as the 1960s and 70s. Sony also includes a 45 adapter should you have any of the smaller records. I am very happy with my purchase. Would highly recommend. Best Buy delivered turntable to my home without issue. Turntable was packed well in the Sony box. Sony and Best Buy both get 5 stars.

Very nice unit. Connects easily to Bluetooth & sounds good! I was disappointed that the dust cover scratches so easily. Used a quality paper towel & warm water, to clean off finger prints & now the cover is scratched up pretty bad.

Very easy to set up and use. Had no trouble connecting to the bluetooth speaker. Sounds great. Love being able to play my dad's albums from 50 years ago.
Great purchase. Very happy.

Super easy to use and I love how seamlessly it connects to my Sony receiver. I step in the door after work, press play and beautiful rich sound fills my living room. It is built very well and looks far more expensive than its price point suggests.

We wanted an upgrade from a very cheap USB turntable we had connected to the RCA inputs of our Bose Wave radio, and after a little searching found this Sony model. The unexpected benefit was the Bluetooth feature, which worked stunning well with our Sony Bluetooth soundbar w/ subwoofer. The assembly of the turntable was pretty easy, and it paired instantly with the soundbar. The controls are both simple and effective, so the turntable is very easy to use. While certainly not high-end, the sound is better than we expected and the convenience of the Bluetooth pairing with our otherwise unused soundbar (it was a retirement gift from my wife's old employer) has made listening to our old (and new) vinyl records very enjoyable. I highly recommend this simple setup!
