I have hearing loss, and I was having trouble understanding speech with my center speaker. I purchased this speaker and was pleasantly surprised how much improvement I experienced. The voices are very clear with this speaker.

Sounds great voice comes out so clear. Mid Bass too.. Hook it up to my 7.2 Sony Receiver STR-DH740 With 2 Sony Tower Speakers for my 2 Front Speakers. Plus 2 Sony Bookshelf Speakers for my rears. Bought all on sale. No brainer. Sony makes a great product. Well packaged, Would Recommend to anybody. Just need 2 more sony Bookshelf Speakers in my Home Theater will be complete. Just waiting until on sale again. Bought all Speakers half price. Winter time usually goes on sale for the Christmas holiday.

Could you get a better center channel? Yes. Can you get a better one for this price? No. Not only is it good for the price, it's pretty good period. I have this with sony's other core speakers and it matches very well (obviously). You can set it up however you'd like but with my receiver, I bumped the level up about 4 db, and set the crossover to 80 hz and dialed the treble up a tad as well.

I upgraded my bedroom's center channel from a "speakers-in-a-box" setup. This center channel speaker is a great upgrade. Are there better center channels? Probably. For my use, this speaker is perfect. There is way more clarity from my shows/movies, on this channel. Thumbs up!

What an upgrade from my entry level Onkyo 7.1 set up. I bought the Sony STRDN1080 A/V Receiver. It did a better job than the Onkyo but it was being held back by the small cheap speakers that came with the Onkyo. So the next month I bought this center channel speaker along with the left and right front speakers recommended by Sony. The difference is night and day. Next month i will be adding the Atmoss speakers followed by the side surround speakers from Sony.

Speaker sounds great and fits into my system very well. It also fits on my mantle perfectly, under my TV.

Adding this to my set up made a huge difference. I was used to using my tv as the center channel, but when I switched to using optical out on it, it disabled the built in speakers. So I played the volume up to hear talking then volume down when it was too loud. Adding this in made a huge difference and is so much better than using the tv speakers.

This is my first Home Theater setup and bought these speakers as part of it. Excellent sound quality and Bass. I liked it very much.

We've upgraded our TV and receiver over the last year but were still using a 25 yr old Cambridge center channel speaker. This Sony speaker resulted in a very much improved center channel. Of course it was easy to set up as the speaker wire was already there. If you don't currently have a center channel speaker, just run speaker cable from the receiver to the speaker. Nothing special or fancy is needed. You might have to change your receiver settings to get the most value out of it.

Sony does it again! I got this connected to my Sony receiver and Polk audio speaker with a Sony Sub woofer and Boy what a theater!! Sound is so clear when speaking from Center speaker would recommend for any one needing one.

Great sound. Supports up to 145W Speaker is larger than it looks in-store but I am very happy with it. Great addition to your surround sound system.

Great having a REAL stereo again, with the various components and this enhancement to sound. Thanks to Best Buy for introducing me to this brand. Also appreciate the purchase option of Excellent Open Box to save a little cash when rebuilding a system.

Not a bad center speaker at all especially for the price. I did return cause my klipsch fronts were just overpowering the center. But it is a good speaker as long as the rest of your system doesn’t over power it.

This center speaker sounds very good. It’s easy to understand dialogue and gets pretty loud without distortion. I have it hooked up to a Sony 790 receiver.

Combined with Sony Receiver, Sony Subwoofer, and 4 surround sound speakers from another brand. The center speaker adds the percect touch to hear dialogue and allows surround speakers to focus on ambiance/music.
