Sound quality is excellent with plenty of depth and clear high end. For the price, this is well worth it. I'm sure some high-end folks will cluck their tongues and shake their heads and wonder what's to be done with this clown recommending an entry-level speaker, but combined with the Core series bookshelf speakers (which I also recommend unreservedly) this adds to a solid 5.1 system.

I bought this in addition to four Sony Atmos enabled speakers for my Sony STR-DH790 7.1 Receiver. It works great in my space and the sound is wonderfully inviting. I use it as part of a 5.1.2 pattern. Gaming sound is also amazing.

I did return cause my klipsch fronts were just overpowering the center. But it is a good speaker as long as the rest of your system doesn’t over power it.

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Sony Core Series speakers from the floorstanding towers to the center channel to the bookshelf speakers to the subwoofer to pair with the Sony STR-DN1080 AVR for a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 setup and the sound is amazing! I upgraded from a Sony soundbar and what a difference! I am definitely impressed and glad I switched! Get the entire setup on special to make it even more worth it!

It's probably your best bet in this price range. In my opinion, they sound better than the Polks, and if you can get these on sale (every two weeks or so), it's a great buy. The cabinet isn't wood, so it could look better-- I buy my audio equipment for sound not aesthetics; so, in my opinion this is irrelevant--, but it's definitely sturdy.

So I went out and bought one just to prove myself right and that I didn't need one. Well I was wrong this speaker is loud and clear. If you don't have one I suggest you get it. you will be missing out.
