Picked these bad it’s up on sale and it blew me away with the sound. Excellent product for the price. They also look really nice!

I bought two of these bad boys and had a great couple months with them, then my baby started crawling and these things became a hazard. They’ve sat in the basement for about six months. They long to be used one day again. I check in on them from time to time. They’re doing okay. Thanks for asking. If you’re still reading…yes, buy them.

Great sound at a great price .The narrow design is a space saver too .

I had a 5.1 setup with 2 Polk front L&R speakers, a 10” Polk subwoofer and 2 Bose rear L&R speakers. One of the Bose speakers blew, so I decided I would just buy 4 new matching speakers to replace the front and rear. I bought these Sony floor speakers on sale for $99/pair. Just having these two speakers and my existing Polk subwoofer completely surprised me- the sound was incredible. There were sounds all around the room that I never heard with both front and rear speakers. I don’t even see the need at this point to buy rear speakers because the sound coming from the Sony floor speakers is THAT GOOD!

I purchased these hoping to give some new life to an underpowered home theater area that is now less used. Had original Bose Acoustimass 10 speaker set purchased yrs ago and have been underwhelmed by those since then - was hoping to replace front left/right speakers with these. Sound quality was better, but thinking that to really get a boost would have had to replace my older Onkyo 85W/chnl receiver with something better, and really wasn't wanting to replace that much at the moment, so with some reluctance I returned these. BB made the purchase and the return super easy.

For the Black Friday price I paid for these, there is no possible way of having gone wrong with them. These speakers sound great and look great!

Not an audiophile, just wanted “good, solid speakers” for the family living room. Auditioned some of the better rated speakers in the price range (Polk T-50, Pioneer Andrew Jones, Onkyo 4800) and they didn’t sound any better than these. Best Buy had these Sony SSCCS3 Core Series on sale for 50% off, so it was a no brainer....$100 ea, Hooked them up, very happy with them.....clear, spatial, room filling sound, with a nice presence. They are in the family room of an open, two-story house and clear sound can fill the whole house. Did not need to spend $500+ for very good sound. Amazon reviewers are at 92% for combined 4*/5* reviews.

I use these with a 2.0 amp and turntable for my vinyls and they sound amazing! Really well balanced especially with the level of bass they produce I was impressed!

My pair of these deliver a perfect sound. I do have a sub for lows, typical setup for any system that employs floor standing speakers. I wouldn't even say "for the money", these sound perfect, period. I have these to play LPs. I am not sure if people who prefer to spend a lot more $$ will hear any difference.

I bought both the Polk T50 and Sony SSCS3 speakers. Hooked both up to my stereo and compared their sound. The Sony speakers sounded much clearer, especially with acoustic vocal music. The Polks sounded hollow, probably due to cabinet resonance. The easiest way to explain it is that the Sony speakers sounded real, the Polks sounded like speakers. I returned the Polks and kept the Sony SSCS3 speakers.

Yes I like these Sony Speakers, They have a full sound on my Yamaha Receiver. I have owned them for a month now and still enjoy music, movies and streaming many shows in the past month. Even my wife’s YouTube yoga class has a much fuller sound now. Thank you for making a great sound for half the price of the competition. Sure they are made of 1/2 inch MDF Board and a black pvc covering, but 90% of all speakers are made from these materials. Good Job Sony!

Works good. Easy to hook up to amp. Great sound and price. Worth the money. I couldn’t ask for better for the price range I wanted. They look nice also.

Got these while they were on sale for $150 each. So at $300 for the pair, so far we love them. We use them for karaoke and listening to music, and they are just right for our family room. Although, I think for a bigger room, they may be a little underwhelmed.

Sony core series floor speakers are worth the money! They completely make my surround sound system everything I expected. Easy setup and enjoy music and tv again

I *love* these speakers. I got them looking to start my first foray into home theater. I went online and looked at all the reviews and - beside Panasonic's, which sounded very flat and rather dull - these speakers stood out for price/performance. I've since got 2 Core Series floorstanding speakers along with the sub. I initially thought I'd need 2 bookshelf's to complete the setup, but honestly (and I'm not an audiophile), just these speakers - along with the sub and center - are more than capable of the job. Very happy with the purchase and I would highly recommend them.

I bought this speaker for my son I can tell you it works very well. Sound quality is awesome, they are slim and don’t take up much room great looking tower speaker.

Bought 2 of these and now i want 2 more for the back of the room

Based on the comparable Sony bookshelf version of these speakers, I was not prepared for the acoustic delight these larger Sony's offer. They are very even across the spectrum and don't color the music as much as my previous Klipsch floor standing speakers do. They also have a forward firing port which makes room placement easier. Finally, the bass is strong for speakers of this size although I still like adding a subwoofer. While I am driving them with a McIntosh amp, I have tried them with other amps and they seem easy to drive regardless of the amp choice and they are efficient enough that power is not a major concern. In summary, they are rapidly becoming one of my favorite speaker choices where my space is somewhat limited and yet I still want great sound. And at the sale price this Holiday Season, you just can't beat them. Period.

Absolutely amazing. I am not a professional musician, but not too bad, either. These speakers deliver the absolute best value for price. I blind tested them against Polk Audio and Klipsch. I found these to be the best. SONY is, for some reason, not an "In" or a "Hip" brand, but whatever I bought from SONY in the last 35+ years NEVER gone wrong - ever. One word of caution, though. Best Buy used to sell them for $99 during the Black Friday period and the price rose again to $160. I will wait for the price to go down to $99 again and buy another pair to replace my - already great - SONY SSF-5000s.

These speakers filled my need for full range sound - from high end to bass. Doesn’t take up a lot of space but delivers big sound without requiring a lot of power.
