||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These remind me of the old sony tower speakers (SSM-F500H if I'm not mistaken) that i purchased all the way back in 2001; these look and sound just as great if not better! Recently revamped my home theater in my basement and hooked these up to a Marantz NR1609 receiver and they sound great!

Great sound

Mine is a huge open basement and the sound quality is excellent. It makes the entire basement vibrate with the full volume. Its a excellent speaker with great sound quality for our family movie nights...

Lowered by $50 at Best Buy to to make it a great deal. Speakers are solid with overall diverse range and clean look to make it a great to anyones home theater. Never thought SONY speakers of this quality, but they do.

I use them with my turntable & the sound is amazing. A few months after I bought them, they were on sale for $99 ea, which I was really bummed about- I almost bought another 2 just because!

Used For A Complete Home Theater System

I was using old temporary stereo speakers until I was able to purchase these. These speakers do not have a lot of bass, which is why you need a Subwoofer to complement them. I have all Sony components, Receiver- STRDH790. Center Channel- SSCS8. Rear Surround- SSCS5. Subwoofer- SACS9. I am also using Yamaha NS-IC400WH in ceiling speakers. When you use these speakers as part of a complete Home Theater System, as I believe that is how these speakers were intended to be used, I believe that you won’t be disappointed. I bought everything at really great sale prices. I don’t know a lot about Home Theater Systems, and I haven’t heard many different systems but for the money I spent, I am completely satisfied.

Great value!

There's a reason audiophiles consider these to be among the best entry-level/budget speakers out there. That being said, the bass on these is definitely lacking. That's not a huge issue, considering they are meant to be used with a subwoofer anyway. These really are the best floor standing speakers in it's price range in my experience.

Great towers in a mid level system

Definitely worth what I paid for it, and it sounds great! When I'm running the towers on their own, they have enough range to continue the great sound!
