Finally got the entire current Sony set!!! These were the last to finish my 5.2 and replace two 25 year old Sony bookshelfs…. The bass in them is amazing barely need my subs… got them both open box in perfect condition

This speaker looks great and sounds great but it is lacking the loudness that i would perfer.

These speakers are a perfect addition to my Yamaha Receiver and Onkyo 6-disc CD Player!! Couldn't be happier!

Ordered open box speaker described as Good condition. Picked it up in the store in the sealed box. Came home noticed that on the box label stated Excellent condition, but got dissapointed when speaker was taken out the box. I could not connect the speaker wires to it. Because the speaker wire terminals were broken. Chopped off, looked like someone hit them with hammer. Unable even to test the speaker sonically i returned it. Lack of QC or accountability and oversight is obvious. Hired people should be trained better at BestBuy. My buy was WorstBuy.

Excellent sound quality, looks great, wish I had purchased these sooner.

First off wow! When you hear these speakers for the first time you'll notice how crisp and clear they are. The mids and highs are excellent. Theirs a lot of detail and clarity. The bass is great for their size. Theirs a good kick to them. But don't expect a huge boom. Remember these speakers are 5 inch's not 8 or 10 inch's. I would recommend these for movies, but for playing music a subwoofer would be nice for that little extra kick. But overall these speakers are a step or two above a starter/ beginner set. If you are looking for that perfect mid range tower speakers these are a must have.

I don't believe there's a better pair of small towers available for a similar price. I own several sets of much more expensive tower speakers, and I think Sony is really punching above their weight with these. In my opinion, the super tweeter does something very beneficial to the top end of the sound. They are open, detailed, and airy with lots of sparkle. This is all without a hint of harshness or sibilance. Midrange and vocals are just astonishing as well, especially at this price point. The bass is adequate for small to mid-size rooms, but for a larger room, you'll definitely need a subwoofer. I've compared these directly to my Klipsch RP-280FA, Energy RC-70, and B&W 683 S2 speakers, all of which cost significantly more. I'm a bit of a speaker junkie, and I'm truly amazed at how well these Sonys compare. The only thing I think they lack in comparison is their total output. They can't fill as large of a room before distorting, but that is obviously due to the size of the cabinet and drivers. I have them in a 15' x 12' spare bedroom, and at reasonable listening levels, I enjoy these Sonys as much as the others. I've also listened to these against similar sets from Pioneer and Polk Audio. In my opinion these Sonys have a much better high end, more balanced sound, and better clarity. Overall, I truly love what Sony has accomplished with these speakers.

Speakers are just the right height for my family room and they sound as good if not better than some higher priced ones. The sound is robust with all the bass and treble you could ask for. Any speaker system is only as good as the receiver that powers it. Mine is a Denon AVR S970H at 120 watts 7.2 ch at 6 ohms and it delivers and the speakers love it. Totally 100% satisfied with this purchase.

This is a great sounding speaker. I currently am running 2 of these floorstanding speakers with a center channel speaker and it can get loud. The awesome thing about these speakers is that there's an embedded subwoofer that can get some decent bass to go through. If you don't have a subwoofer for any reason (I do not in my setup), 2 of these floorstanding speakers will bring some punch to your ears. I recommend to also set these as "large" speakers in your av receiver settings.

I purchased four of these along with so many other Sony products to create the ultimate real audio experience. I must admit that these speakers remind me of the 80’s jamming to the best rock bands at that time They definitely surprised me with their performance and sound. It’s amazing to watch movies with these as well.

Bought a pair of these for my movie room in the house along with other matching SA-CS series speakers to complete the setup. These speakers alone have outstanding sound quality and very good solid construction. Nicely balance sound capable of producing good amount of BASS nice crisp HIGHS. I am happy with these speakers and i recommend others who are in the market for decent tower speakers or thinking about building a home theater system consider these speakers and you will be highly satisfied with the sound these speakers reproduce.

I love these speakers it was perfect sound and bass it sounds like I’m really at the club great product and for the price to 2 for 250 can’t beat it at all and it was really easy to install and what’s really good it doesn’t take up a lot of space

Functional, attractive, and an excellent balance of treble and bass - these speakers are not as expensive as similarly situated Klipsch or other higher-end brands but are every bit as good. Clear, crips, and the sound does not get hard to listen to even at higher volumes with clarity even when soft. We bought these to replace a Sonos system we had in our great room and and we're all the better for it. These two towers replaced our four Sonos speakers and we have more, full sound that reverberates around the space for true immersion with whatever you're listening to. I have a high-end Klipsch system I use for our home theater, but these two speakers alone are an impressive set and come highly recommended from an old quasi-audiophile.

These are excellent speakers with all around great sound with the combination of the setup (2 speakers and a tweeter in each one) and for a great price! I've had older models of these speakers, which are only a tiny bit wider and taller for many years, and it was time for some new ones.. I purchased 3 pairs ! I have one set (with bookshelf) speakers setup in our master bedroom; 1 set in my office, and another set in the living room (all with Sony receivers and Sony TV) Sony has always been the best products and all I've ever purchased all my life; I would never switch to a different brand. (I had my older 7.2 receiver for over 12 years and it finally quit, but well worth it after all that time!) Highly recommend! Sony is the best quality for the best price and stands behind thier products!

I bought these as my now ancient Radio Shack speakers finally died. My Onkyo surround Amp is.100 watts x 7 channels so I needed more powerful speakers. I tested the Klipsch ,Pioneer ,and Sonys. The pioneers were ok but not much in the high range, and lacked presence and overall bass, whereas the Klipsch sets were best sounding overall but more expensive. The Sonys were a good choice for my budget,and actually sound much better at home on my systen than in store. The highs are still not as crisp and pronounced as the Klipsch but is much better than the Pioneers. Midrange is very prominent on the Sonys. For audio playback the highs are better with the EQ settings boosted . But when watching surround sound videos its too "bright". That being said, I was stunned at the bass quality with NO SUBWOOFER. No you dont get that chest thumping bass punch, but its almost like having a subwoofer on low when watching movies. As for bass when listening to music from CD not.mp3....there is noticeable lack of that punch,even at 70% volume setting. By then its just loud and the midrange dominates. Overall Im very happy with the sound and build quality. Still want a subwoofer eventually but these speakers make the wait easier.

The quality of the speaker is perfectly matching my expectation. Easy to unbox it if you follow the instruction outside the box appropriately. When it comes to sound, these speakers deliver very good performance. The highs are crisp and clear, while the mids provide excellent detail and depth.

The best speakers I've ever had. I already have 4 years with them using them A LOT and they are still with the quality of the first day I installed them

I picked these up when they were $100/ea on Black Friday. For $200 for the set, these are really great speakers. At the full price of $200/ea, there may be better alternatives out there. Audio quality is good and they can get very loud with no distortion. Good bass but not overbearing, obviously add a subwoofer for more bass.

Absolutely love the sound I get out of these. I actually replaced a much more expensive (also Sony) speaker set from 2008 with these and was blown away by how good they are. I'm using them in a 7.2ch system with the Sony Atmos up-firing speakers and 2 subs. I am very impressed with the quality for the price. And with the Atmos speakers added on top, they look great too!

Great price for high quality sound! The speakers sound excellent and the size is perfect for small to medium size rooms. They are also very easy to install. I was looking to get only one but after hearing the sound I decided to get a second unit and I’m. Wry happy with them .
