I bought these floor speakers to go along with my Sony model STRDN1060 4K Ultra HD and 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver. They are a perfect match. I use them as the front speakers for my 5.1 surround as well as stereo speakers for my music. When buying on sale the total was right at $700 which is a great price (retail is about $1100) given the CNET reviews for the A/V unit too.

I've had these speakers for about a month and am very happy with them. On their own they sound really good for such inexpensive speakers. Decent bass and very clear mids and highs. My complete speaker set up includes a pair of 15 year old Bose 301s and an off-brand subwoofer. I'm certainly no audiophile but to my ears this combination is great for both music and movies (neither of which I play at extreme high volume). Originally got a pair of Pioneer 51434 tower speakers but they sounded quite thin. Returned them for the Sonys.

I've been planning to upgrade my Boston Acoustics sound system given its age - the speaker surround has totally degraded. I'm still planning on repairing it down the road (might cost me an arm and a leg) but I needed an immediate replacement and the Sony Core Series caught my eye. It's a good speaker at a great price point and when it went on sale for 50% off I immediately grabbed a pair + a subwoofer. It works perfectly with my Denon AVR-S540BT Receiver, specially after calibrating. Great Bang for your Buck!

These are very well made, the sound is crisp from all angles. Easy to set up and enjoy. They come assembled with a firm base and solid body, you can use banana jacks or stripped wire, remove the small colored plugs to use banana jacks or leave them installed for stripped wire.

You cant go wrong iv always said that about Sony! These Tower speakers are a must have!

The speakers provide amazing dynamic sound throughout the house, especially at the reasonable price point. Strong recommend if you want solid foundational sound without spending a fortune. Worked as expected and easy to connect to our home system.

Bought these speakers on sale. After hook up, found them to be really bass heavy. Not a bad thing. Changed my receiver settings, sent the bass to the sub like it should be. Excellent speakers clear loud treble, strong mid range. Great quality. Could run these without a sub and get perfect left and right channel sound. These speakers are part of a 5.1 setup for me. Very happy. Buy these speakers.

I really like and enjoy these speakers. These were purchased to replace some 25 year old Bose 501 speakers that I wore out finally. We wanted something with good sound but that would not break the bank. It was a question of getting these or similar Pioneer speakers. After reading about and listening to both, we decided on the Sony speakers. Glad we did. We listen to all kinds of music but chiefly classical and jazz. The reproduction of music by these speakers is very pleasant. It exceeded my expectations. Nice bass and great tonal handling in general. Very much recommended.

Great speakers, look and sound great in my living room

Great Tower Speakers! They are light and compact! The sound is full and looks cool without the Grille cover on. Highly recommended speakers! Great price for Black Friday at $98 dollars!

I got this Open Box an I save more than $100 on this quality speaker! The sound is great and it has enriched boss. You still need to buy a Subwoofer if you do not have one. This unit only has two woofers. I love it!

These are great speakers for music enthusiast. I bought the open box ones with the extended Geek Squad warranty. I listen to music all the time but I can swear that I heard sounds from these speakers that I have never heard before form any of my other Sony or Bose speakers. I have coupled these with my Sony SRT-DN860 receiver and also tried this with a Yamaha receiver. I would also recommend buying them open box and save a few dollars. The current setup that I have is a 2 tower speakers with a receiver which has ample of base to it too.

These speakers produce excellent sounds for general audio use. The bass is good enough, but a sub will make it better. Oh, they are also inexpensive, comparing with other speakers of the same class.

I love these speakers! I had a set of 12 year old Sony floor speakers that I used initially for my sound system and then later made part of a surround system. They were originally used in a single family home where I could really crank them. Then I moved to a condo and I always worried about disturbing the neighbors. Keeping the volume down though cuts into the quality and those were 200W speakers. These new ones are only 160W and newer technology. I get much better fidelity and reproduction now. I also have them paired with the matching Dolby Atmos speakers.

I have all Sony speakers after their Memorial Day sale. Bought four of these floorstanding spekers, center channel and two Sony Atmos speakers for my home theater. So far it has been a great upgrade from an older LG surround sound tallboy speakers. I have all speakers set to small for my setup and two 600 W subwoofers for bass. The Sony receiver I purchased the STR-DN1080 has been an easy setup and to work with. Bought each four speakers at $99.99. Would definitely buy these again if I were to have another TV room to setup.

I just received these, shipped sooner than I expected. I used these in my son's room hooked up to his Denon phono and an Onkyo receiver. Very good speakers, we also have some Martin Logan LX16's and theses Sony speakers do hold their own against the Martin Logans. Don't get me wrong, the Martin Logan speakers are very good but these speakers being towers give a better mid bass in some songs. Very good towers for the price. Thinking of buying two more to replace me surround sound speakers.
