Great floor speakers saw bad reviews on them on YouTube but I still order them and they sound good some people are just audio snobs! Lol they bring my theater to life! Would buy them again for $105 each

These thin lightweight speaker are easy to move around and deliver a nice sound, with clear mids and nice highs. The low end is not as expressive, but when used in a 2.1 or 5.1 configuration the Sony subwoofer delivers that pleasant bass. I think these speakers work goo in the 2.1 or higher configuration and it's clear they were designed to be part of such a system. There are many other speakers that will outperform these towers, but those models are generally hundreds of dollars more. These are really good if you are trying to get started with a surround system. You'll learn what works and if you need something bigger or with more push you can take the time to research it using these as a basis.

These speakers look great and sound fantastic. Purchased on sale for $99 a piece. Very impressed by sound quality, build quality, and acoustic range. I listened to the Klipsch R26F speakers in store and they did not sound 3.5x ($349 per speaker) better than the Sony SScS3 speakers ($99 per speaker). The R26Fs had better base but clarity goes to Sonys. I bought a 7.2 setup of Sony SS-CS speaker series on sale for less than what two R26F speakers cost at the time.

I honestly don’t feel like I needed to spend more money on speakers! Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure the more expensive speakers sound better. However, these simply sound phenomenal to me. I mean just over $100 for a tower speaker is extremely reasonable. I honestly feel like they are worth much more than they cost, which is not normal for some towers that I feel are simply overpriced.

Full range of sound that does not disappoint. I'm totally blown away by the quality of highs and bass.

Really decent size speakers for the size room I bought them for. I'm retired so I don't blast the rock n roll like I did a long time ago, but they're sound is very good. I would buy them again. They're hooked up to my Pioneer stereo receiver that I bought 30 yrs. ago. Rock On!

These speakers sound great in conjunction with their surround speakers and subwoofer and central speakers, They come very nicely protected in their big boxes and were a breeze to install. The mesh can be removed so you can see the innards of the speaker. The speaker cables comes separate as well, and screw in plugs are used so they are banana plug compatible. Overall a great purchase! I would wait for a sales event though, buying them regular price I think they are a little overpriced.

Great speakers. I already have the center and bookshelf speakers by Sony, these speakers just finished off my home theater on black friday and I couldn't be happier... At least not for the price I was prepared to pay. Sure, Klipsch are a cut above the rest but if you're looking for something for good value without sacrificing much quality, I think these are the way to go.

I also updated and upgraded my stereo system with these Sony floor standing speakers to go along with another pair of brand new Polk speakers I purchased from eBay. Great sound, no distortion, bass really kicks. Another fabulous purchase and like I said, first time I totally redid my stereo system and I had to do it right for the last time.

At half price these were amazing when comparing to individual tower speakers costing well over 400 to 500. They have great detail handle all media content well only slight offset was lack of bass and that has all to do with positioning and eq as you adjust and can have slight feel of a subwoofer being on. Now, you add a woofer and you adjust for greater kids and these bad boys will handle anything with ease.

I was cross shopping these Sony SSCS3 towers with the Klipsch R-26F towers. While I do think the Klipsch speakers sounded a little better in the store, they are physically much larger and more expensive than these Sonys. After getting the speakers home and trying them out with a proper A/V receiver and a subwoofer in a 2.1 config I feel confident in my decision to buy. They sound fantastic in our home and much better than in the store. Our family room isn't very deep so these do a great job of not feeling obtrusive in the room like the much deeper Klipsch towers.

These are excellent speakers that outperform others that are 2-3 times the price. Highly recommend.

I needed a quality set of front speakers to replace some old ghetto JVC ones and I read a lot of great reviews before purchasing them. Sony did a fantastic job building a quality set of speakers for a great price. I had my eye on the Klipsch ones, but the reviews and the price made me reconsider and I’m really happy I did. Highly recommend!!

I am super impressed with the sound quality of these speakers. They sound better than a few of my friends setups that cost WAY more money. They have amazing bass extension all by themselves, I'd be happy even if I didn't have a sub.

These are excellent standing speakers. Don'tr be put off by the smaller size. The sound is crisp and robust. In general, I'm very impressed with the Sony Core Series. It's probably your best bet in this price range. In my opinion, they sound better than the Polks, and if you can get these on sale (every two weeks or so), it's a great buy. The cabinet isn't wood, so it could look better-- I buy my audio equipment for sound not aesthetics; so, in my opinion this is irrelevant--, but it's definitely sturdy.

I have a pair of Klipsch R-28Fs in our main room and while these clearly do not match that quality and sound, they aren't bad for our smaller room (TV room). The sound quality is excellent, and while they handle mid and high sounds well, you'll likely still need a subwoofer for the lows if you like a little punch behind the low-end sounds. Excellent value for the price.

With the reviews on Best buy, these 'sticks' speakers are great sound. When you're seeking to fill a medium size room, with great sound, and want to enjoy movies in surround sound or stereo, these speakers exceed. I enjoy their size and engineering, Sony made a good product. Budget and good sound, If youre not an audio-snob, these speakers do it!

For the price, these speakers are a steel. Just because of their price, don't pair then with cheap receiver, since they shine with quality amplification. The highs are simply awesome, but the star of the show are the vocals. The bass is ok for music, but a subwoofer will be required for some genre of music.

Amazing sound.You want to buy these speakers when there on sale.I paid 200 for both and when there not on sale its 400 for pair.Ive had other higher priced speakers that dont sound that great,this is a awesome value,i get lots of compliments on this and best buy has the best price available.

I had originally purchased the Sony SSCS5 bookshelf speaker as the front set of a 7.1 system and while they were good, they were lacking for my living room due to its size so I took a chance with these and they are amazing, especially for the price. Match them to a good receiver and you won't be disappointed.
