It is a table tripod which can also function as a handle for the camera while making video logging. However, at this price, I think Sony can add a battery pack. The high speed SDXC is great to be used in a ZV-1 camera.

It not only works great for vlogging but you can double down and use it as control when doing talking head videos for Youtube.

It has the C1 to quickly Defocus the background, giving a nice bokeh effect. It's also used a tripod to quickly setup a Zoom meeting... LOL! Is it necessary for the ZV-1, not really. However, it gives you more options.
