A little disappointed with this model
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I expected too much with this Sony camera. I had an A6000 for about a year with good results but wanted something smaller. I heard good things about this HX80 and my son has an RX1000 he loves and sales representative said I would get similar results. Maybe I had gotten a bad one as had trouble with losing my photos on the add card. Tried several cards with same result so I know the cards were not defective. Also it would do multiple shots when set for single shots. Maybe I had a defective on but did return to store. If I go with another Sony I will pay more for the RX model

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the viewfinder and the optiional slide out viewer, the size, and what the camera can do. However I am having trouble with the on/off switch not working all the time.

Better options for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really surprised at all of the positive reviews. I was very underwhelmed by the performance of this camera. Yes, it can take some good pictures, but even in bright light some of the pictures don't look good at all. The color I found to be off and sharpness wasn't there. Then some pictures in lower light are just awful; my phone has less noise in the pictures (Moto x pure edition). I used settings from auto to manual, and had too many lackluster pictures. I've had many cameras (all canon), but figured I'd give this a try. Returned this and going back to canon.

Ok camera for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not the best when it comes to cameras but this is great for pictures. I bought this camera to vlog and the quality is ok but when uploaded to iMovie is very grainy.

Very disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reviews were right about the bad quality of photos taken in low light. I am truly disappointed in this camera, the only high-quality photos it took were when it was on the tripod and timer. Not worth it. Took it back.

Disapointing picture quaility
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased Camera as I have always been a Sony fan. The Camera takes worse pictures then my 8 year old digital Sony Camera. Maybe some practice and setting changes might help but when buying a point and shoot camera I expected much more for the price. My S5 takes better pictures. Returned to Store.

Don’t buy this camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awful, the movie button is too close to the thumb pad which is too small and the camera switches to movie mode. You can’t use the flash in the “yellow” camera mode. burst mode is always on and you have to be careful when pressing the shutter button.

Not a good camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a 9 years old Sony camera in similar class. In the last 6 months I started having problems with it and decided to buy new one. The new Sony video quality was very average at day light and really bad in low light. Picture quality in low light was not good as well. I returned it and bought more expensive Panasonic ZS100. Yes, it is more money, but at least you know what you pay for. Otherwise, you can use your smart phone camera.
