excellent all-around camaera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd been using my smartphone for pictures over the past few years since an expensive Sony camera I had died. I purchased this new more-advanced Sony camera to photograph my son's wedding. It worked great! The zoom feature and quality of pictures is great.

Did not like this camera as well as my old one.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned it because it did not have the features my old one had. With my old one I could take still shots when doing a video, you can't with this one. It was also hard to use with the pop up viewer. I did like the flip up display. Hoping Sony comes out with another on that has more of what I am looking for!!

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping this was a great upgrade to my HX30V but alas, disappointed. The image quality is just not there, especially in low light. The in camera processing made images a jumbled mess. Still looking for the perfect Point and Shoot.

Buy Extended Waranty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK camera but screen just stopped working (went black) after about 1.5 years. So basically trash or $150+ dollar repair. I would have expected at least 3-5 year lifespan. Not sure you'll ever get that out of this model.

Camera didn't do what was necessary
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed this camera for work. My job requires a time and date stamp on every image. I bought the camera and brought it home, then set it aside until it was needed. In a few weeks, I got as assignment that required photography, so I got the camera out and began to set it up. After a couple of hours of fooling with it, I learned, by calling Sony, that the camera could only provide a date stamp. I've been using time and date stamp cameras for nearly 20 years, and have always had that capability. I could not imagine a modern camera that couldn't do this. Sadly, there was no way to find this out before my purchase. The only bright spot here is that Best Buy refunded my money even though it was about a week past the time where I was eligible for a refund.

Sony Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because I had an old Sony camera, but this one was way more advanced than I could use. I couldn't get pictures to download and the manual was not very helpful

Did Not Work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony - Cyber-shot DSC-HX80 18.2-Megapixel Digital Camera did not work using the panorama shooting which really messed up a perfect vacation shot.

Posted .Hi Designs4U, That's not the kind of experience that we wanted to hear, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The panorama shot will most likely be interrupted if the camera is panned too fast or too slow or when the subject is too blurry. You may visit this link for guides on how you can take a clear panorama shot: https://docs.sony.com/release//Help_4591308111.pdf -Jerome
