Customers often highlight the Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V's compact size, praising its portability and convenience for taking photos on the go. Many are also impressed with the quality of photos it takes despite its small size. While some users appreciate the flip screen, others express disappointment with the limited zoom capabilities of the camera.

As a professional photographer, I mainly use a full frame camera with big fancy lenses for most of my work. With that said, I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the quality of this little camera after having used it for some time. Don't let its size fool you, this thing packs a punch. With its 1 inch sensor and fast aperture, you can get stunning images out of this camera that can rival more expensive interchangeable lens options. Of course it'll never be able to give you the same depth of field or low light capabilities of a full frame camera but that's not what its meant for. As a camera that I can take anywhere without having to sacrifice quality, it certainly does the job. I am a Sony Ambassador and have received this camera as a gift from Sony, but this camera has been on my wish list for a while. I'll definitely be taking it with me on more travel and hiking trips especially on longer backpacking treks where weight matters or just walking down the street where I need to be more discreet. To summarize, if you want something much better than your phone's camera but don't want to haul around a bunch of lenses and a body, there's nothing better than the rx100!

This camera is not as good as the oldest version RX100. Zoom is bad as well.

First of all, the size of this little camera amazed me! It’s soooo tiny and light. It’s super easy to just throw in your purse or hold on your wrist when you’re out hiking or adventuring around. As a portrait photographer, the 1.8 lens capabilities is extremely helpful when shooting in darker situations. For all you bloggers out there, this is the perfect camera for your blogging needs. It’s lightweight and still packs 4K video into the small body! As a Sony ambassador, I received this camera to review and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s the perfect camera for me to use when I don’t want to take out my a7iii and lug something heavier and bigger around. I highly recommend this camera!

Being an ambassador for the sony alpha team I was given the RX100 VA to test out on a recent trip and needless to say I was impressed in more ways than one. One of my favorite features about this camera is its ability to capture video in an SLOG format which allows me much better color correction in post. The quality of the still images is amazing as well and the f1.8 comes in very handy when shooting in low light conditions. I can say I rarely used the view finder but can see where it would come in hand in bright conditions. The focus seems to be spot on and it does almost everything my bigger A7R3 does at a fraction of the weight and cost. When people ask me what to get if they don't want an interchangeable lens system to lug around I always end up recommending the RX100 series from sony.

This camera is great for those who want to take pro-quality photos and video (with pro features like RAW format, s-log, AND it has an ND filter for your outdoor videos!) while being incredibly portable at the same time.

Excellent camera! It takes beautiful pictures and is easy to use. It's also very compact. I've taken it on trips without a problem.
It hasn't lost much value. I bought it years ago and the price hasn't changed very much.

Would rate this zero stars if it let me. Had to be repaired 1 year after purchase and now it is having a lens issue again. It appears that Sony uses cheap ribbon cables inside cameras and they start breaking and have limited durability.
