Good camera
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera is nice, but I find that I use my iphone more. This doesn't connect to an external mic which is a bummer when you need really good audio. It still takes great pics though.

Good Quality but...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality is good. But the camera overheats easily and the video mode shuts down automatically. I needed continuous recording without stopping.

Meet my New Travel/Vlog Companion
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a Sony Ambassador and received this camera as a gift. I have had the chance to shoot with this camera. This is the ultimate travel and vlog camera and here's why: Don't be fooled! This tiny little camera is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.. but packs a BIG punch! Big enough to produce pro stills and epic travel/Vlog video. You can start 4K Vlogging easily in 3 simple steps: 1 - turn on power 2 - flip up screen 3' high res (to see yourself while Vlogging) 3 - press record. It's is literally that easy! What makes this camera so powerful for its class is not only the easy use but its 4K Vlog ability but it takes ultra professional video and stills. It comes equipped with 7 Picture Profiles (hybrid LOG Gamma) to shoot cinema style that can be fine tuned to your liking. This little powerhouse has an ND filter built in allowing for quick filtering of harsh light or for wide open aperture shooting with a touch of a button. Absolutely one of my favorite features. Another huge advantage is Sony's razor sharp Continuous AF tracking for your your face keeping it in focus while you are exploring and creating your vlogs and travel stories. If you end up somewhere epic and want to snap a gorgeous professional resolution photo no problem! Sony's 20MP sensor, 315 AF point coverage along with optical (2.9x) and 11x digital focus range on a pro Vario-Sonnar T* Carl Zeiss lens allows for portrait depending on your shot. Lastly, if you want to be super creative with your video production? The RX 100V is your personal camera crew. This little wizard of a camera will allow you to shoot up to 120,240 and 480fps capturing ultra slow motion you can process later in editing. I will be taking this tiny beast everywhere I travel using it to capture Vlog stories and shoot professional quality stils in tight spaces.

Excellent camera for the size!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a professional photographer, I mainly use a full frame camera with big fancy lenses for most of my work. With that said, I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the quality of this little camera after having used it for some time. Don't let its size fool you, this thing packs a punch. With its 1 inch sensor and fast aperture, you can get stunning images out of this camera that can rival more expensive interchangeable lens options. Of course it'll never be able to give you the same depth of field or low light capabilities of a full frame camera but that's not what its meant for. As a camera that I can take anywhere without having to sacrifice quality, it certainly does the job. I am a Sony Ambassador and have received this camera as a gift from Sony, but this camera has been on my wish list for a while. I'll definitely be taking it with me on more travel and hiking trips especially on longer backpacking treks where weight matters or just walking down the street where I need to be more discreet. To summarize, if you want something much better than your phone's camera but don't want to haul around a bunch of lenses and a body, there's nothing better than the rx100!

One of the best point and shoot cameras
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, the size of this little camera amazed me! It’s soooo tiny and light. It’s super easy to just throw in your purse or hold on your wrist when you’re out hiking or adventuring around. As a portrait photographer, the 1.8 lens capabilities is extremely helpful when shooting in darker situations. For all you bloggers out there, this is the perfect camera for your blogging needs. It’s lightweight and still packs 4K video into the small body! As a Sony ambassador, I received this camera to review and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s the perfect camera for me to use when I don’t want to take out my a7iii and lug something heavier and bigger around. I highly recommend this camera!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is great for those who want to take pro-quality photos and video (with pro features like RAW format, s-log, AND it has an ND filter for your outdoor videos!) while being incredibly portable at the same time.

Sony RX100 V review: Impressive, but resting on its laurelsSony has completely owned the high-end compact camera market since the launch of the original RX100 back in 2012 .
