After a lot of research, I bought this camera to take on a trip in place of my dslr. For an older model, it still holds up on features and photo quality. Low light is not bad and the flash works well. My favorite part is the pop up viewfinder. Definitely recommend this model if you're looking for a good camera but have a tighter budget.

I read many reviews on multiple sites before settling on this camera. I purchased it for photos of prom for one daughter and college graduation for another daughter. I am a novice photographer and with a little practice was able to get some high quality looking photos. I hope to learn more about the advanced features this camera offers and get even better photos in the future.

This is my second Sony RX 100 as I owned the original. The added benefit of this camera over the original is the viewfinder and the software is identical to that of the Sony Mirrorless A6000, so what I learn on one camera I can use on the other. This was an open box purchase with everything but the instructions, so for the price I highly recommend.

It is a pocketable camera for large pockets. It is a great camera for low light conditions and has an excellent lens for great details. The auto focus works very well and is very quick. Follow up shots are very quickly done. It will take burst shots and panorama pictures. Rivals much larger cameras due to it's large photo sensor and large aperature of F1.8.

To do well some photography for selling clothing and handbags, and also better with personal photography I researched to the Nth degree the possible professional quality cameras. It is amazing how the experts, via YouTube, etc., all support this choice. It is a joy to have, to see its results, and to learn so much from the camera itself.

Amateur or professional, this camera will help you correct a mistake BEFORE you make it.. I've only owned it for about 2 months, and honestly that's not enough time to learn what this little camera can do! 1) the BEST camera is the one you have with you, and while I would stop short of calling it "pocketable", it is small enough to take with you nearly everywhere without a big hassle. 2) Image quality is SUPURB! At 24 megapixels, there is more than enough room to crop photos to your hearts content and still have plenty of detail left to print nice 8 x 10's or larger with no worries. 3) Beginning photographers will appreciate the well-laid out and detailed menu system. Not only can the camera "walk you through" the different shooting modes, it explains when you should use them and why. There is a shooting modes for nearly ANY possible situation, yet more advanced shooters can still take manual control over all camera functions. 4) This. Lens. Is. SPECTACULAR!!! The low light performance of this camera has to been seen to believe it!! This Zeiss 1.8 glass delivers amazingly crisp pictures WITHOUT a flash when most other cameras (including some DSLR's) would be hard pressed to capture a respectable image with one! I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but it's TRUE! Simply second to none in my opinion and I've been behind a camera since LONG before "digital" was even a thought. Yes....it's a little more expensive in the opinion of some people. But if you want to capture great images, instead of coming up with excuses and explaining the pictures you SHOULD have snapped, THS IS THE CAMERA TO BUY! PERIOD.

For such a tiny size, this is an extremely capable camera, even shooting raw images if preferred (or both), but it is a bit too small for my hands.

I bought this camera to reduce weight and bulk during international travel. I love my zoom equipped Canon 60D SLR but it is heavy. I read lots of reviews and almost bought the Canon G7X Mk II. The Canon may be a bit more reliable long term and has more zoom but the deciding factor was the Sony's image quality.
