Photo quality, zoom feature, options for photo settings (e.g., panorama) are great. GPS feature is fantastic. Only concern is that color in flash photos can sometimes be "off."

Have been using this camera for couple of weeks and could extensively use it for two recent outdoor trips. Initially when I bought this camera the picture quality seemed to be average and it didn't like a great purchase, felt like could have sent more to get something better of the existing camera that I used. But after a couple of days use, it felt great and worth purchase. Outdoor, indoor and low light shots comes out nice with good detailing. Macro shots are Ok but not bad and the 30x zoom for a point and shoot is great. It also takes good moving shoot and the intelligent mode works very well for auto setting. Lots of manual settings capabilities too though haven't tried it extensively yet. Overall, happy with the purchase.

I take a lot of wildlife and wild flower pictures and find this camera does all I want it to do. The 30X zoom lets me take pictures of wildlife without having to be close to them. The pictures come out sharp and clear. The panaoramic feature is easy and great for landscape pictures. The camera is easy to operate and I would recommend it to anyone.

Got a great deal on this camera and took it on a trip to Ireland! The zoom was the best part because I was able to take beautiful pictures with crystal clear zoom. I wish it had a neck strap so I didn't have to keep taking it out and putting it away all the time.

this is a great camera....the long telephoto is incrediable and the many features are great. the big reason I got it is the long telephoto lens, WIFI to send my pics to my phone and laptop and the quality mega pix of the photos and the panoramic photo option. this camera is just like a slr camera but smaller and don't have to take other lens like telephoto and wide angle lens. this camera is better for a more photo photographer experienced but able to learn about this camera.

This is my third Sony Cyber-shot camera. I take most pictures indoor when light isn't always perfect, but my pictures are thanks to the Exmor R technology; and with an optical zoom 30 I can take more pictures sitting in one place. Also digital zoom works fine. I think that it would be better to have an external charger, so one may charge spare battery when using the other.

This camera has more functions than I'll ever use and the pictures are extremely sharp. It's my 7th camera and the best of all of them.

Was a bit overwhelmed at first, but after finding a complete guide to download I learned how to use. It takes really great photos for a point & shoot. The zoom is also quite remarkable.

This is a great camera with a big 30x zoom. Easy to setup and use. Photos and AVCHD videos are great. I mainly use the Superior Auto mode. I also use the Program mode because i can adjust contrast, saturation and sharpness. I took photos in bright sunlight, cloudy day and at night. The camera performed very well. I recommend using Superior Auto for night shots. Battery life is very good. I always carry an extra battery just in case. If you want a small camera that takes very good photos, videos and has a big 30x zoom, then this is the camera to buy. Best Buy sells it for $399 and that is a very good price for what you get. This camera is highly recommended.

In spite of the limited choice in apertures it was my camera of choice for now, as I wanted a compact camera with an excellent zoom and one that would react quickly to capture active children. It is definitely doing that! It also offers me the opportunity to take excellent photos of shots I have time to set up. I need more time to comment well on low light situations; but so far, so good. I have no battery life issues, but I'm not running the GPS function either, though I would not hesitate to do so. I have not tried the video yet.

I primarily use the camera for work, so it gets a lot of use and can get pretty dirty. Because of this I purchased the protection plan. Within the first month the flash burned out and dust was behind the lens. Geek squad sent it in for repairs and the flash worked for approximately another month before burning out again. There was still some dust behind the lens when I got it back from repairs but it didn't seem to effect any of the pictures. I just purchased another one hoping that the first one is defective. This camera has amazing zoom and is the perfect companion to a concert where professional cameras are on allowed. It fits in the pocket easily but is larger than your typical point and shoot. I would say definitely worth the money

Very satisfied with my Sony camera. Love how compact it is fitting in purse or even pockets without loosing quality in picture, zoom and video longevity. Did not know much about cameras prior to purchase, relying completely on salesmen advice which turned out to be great!

The camera has a great zoom and takes good pictures even with low light or movement. It is easy to use. The only bad thing about it is that the WI-Fi functionality that allows to connect the camera to a smartphone doesn't always work, and I was never able to connect the camera to my TV thru Wi-Fi either.

We took this camera to Disneyland and the beach so it was great for picture quality. In movie mode you can zoom so far out and the stability is awesome. The zoom isn't so great if your trying to take a picture really far out. Decent low light and great quality!

This camera is a little pricey, but it has all the features one would want. It is amazingly easy to use and the picture quality is super. You don't have to be a camera buff to maneuver through the modes and features.

I had been happy with my Sony HX20V, but needed to replace it quickly in time for a family vacation/wedding. I was torn between the HX50V and an a6000, basically a pocket zoom monster and a mirrorless camera with much better picture quality and capture speed but also much less reach. I went for the cheaper, more known solution, and am trying not to second guess myself. I will feel better when I get to some more sporting events and get to have close up pictures, because normal walk-around and portrait pictures can sometimes make me wish I had chosen the more capable a6000.

Very happy with purchase. I bought this to replace my Sony Cyber-shot HX5V (about 6 models older) which I had for 3 years before I lost it :( Excellent zoom! Battery life is great. Better flash range (with pop-up flash). Zoom in video was a requirement for me. New features for me in this version: Picture in video - though quality isn't that great in a moving picture (sports). Also liking the burst mode playback - you just tilt the camera in the review mode and you see all of the photos like a 1 second video. The camera is not as small or light as my previous but still compact.
