I purchased this lens to compliment my 18-55 kit that came with my a57. I'm a beginner with dslr's, but it's hard to tell with some of the photos I've taken. So far, I've been able to shoot some triathlons and festivals, using the 55-200. I was amazed at how well the pics came out, especially at full zoom. If you don't have the $$$ to spend on the higher-end lenses, I highly consider buying this lens.

Having this lens makes my dslr that much more better to own. The zoom and auto focus are incredibly fast opening up more opportunity for great photos. Also the price for this type of lens is unbeatable for any of the other dslr brands because of the "steady shot inside" feature of the alpha dslrs.

Picked up this lens a few weeks back and love it. Though it was a open box item and i wanted to get a 300mm i could not leave it at the price it was going for.i have since use it for many shots and love every one. I did not purchase the 300mm as plan because i am getting great result ftom this one.

Good price. Arrived in good condition. I purchased at last minute for an upcoming graduation. Lens worked fine and seemed to be in good condition for a pre-owned product.

This is a great lens if you want to really zoom into your shot without any digital distortion from just using software. Great addition to anyone's lens kit!

I purchased this for my brother who is really an entry level photographer. He has owned his Sony for senev years and taken less than 10 photos. He is now interested in learning how to use the camera so I got him a lens to complement the wide angle that came with the unit. I have tried it out, and the quality of the lens is much better than the one that comes with the unit. It is not bad for an entry level person, but does not take you much beyond that.

saves time, no more having to change lenses, small compact size, great optics.

My wife and I were able to buy this lens as an open item at half price, so we got a great deal (now having the lens for a while now, I'd say it would be worth buying if you don't have it, even at full price). Ever since we brought this home and hooked it up to our Sony Alpha A65 camera (which is also an outstanding camera), we use this lens more now than we use the original kit lens on the camera. The optics are great and it takes outstanding pictures. Especially when you are playing around with depth of field. For its size, it is pretty light weight, only slighlty heavier than the kit lens. I highly recommend this lens.

Definite upgrade from the kit lens and represents a good investment for those looking for an all-purpose lens. Picture quality is about what you'd expect at this price point.

I have used this lens at wrestling meets and taking pictures of our kitten under the Christmas tree. Fast or slow objects come out great! I'm very happy with this lens.

An inexpensive way to get a little closer to your subject. Be aware of the plastic housing and mounting points. Had it for almost a year and used it many times. Not great in low light but you know that from the description.

I have been wanting a new lens for my camera and liked the price. Nice lens and take great photos.

Standard Telephoto lens for a Sony A body, the best part about this lens in the price, can't beat it for $100. Nothing spectacular, it just a standard Sony 50-200mm lens, good quality, decent AF, overall good lens.

This 55-200mm lens fits great and is compact enough to fit in my bag.I'm yet to have a problem with it.

Great lens for the price, zoom is a little stiff but should loosen up over time. Light weight as well.

It was just what I was looking for at a good price. Would recommend it for anyone.
