I have hardly taken this lense off of my camera since I bought it, I'm very happy with it.

meets all expectations that i was seeking to my camera

I've had a month to play with my new auxiliary lens. It does a magnificent job every time with my Sony Alpha Camera System. The photos are sharp as "tacks." I've certainly not detected any irregularities as to color, etc. It's a snap to operate manually or automatically. Excellent choice for the beginner or experienced. A wide range of focal lengths, all in one compact lens!

This lens is a must have to any beginner photogrpher.

No problems working great. Since I can't afford the $20000 lens.

I've wanted this lens for a while and I am very happy with it.

I'm a complete amateur with photography. This zoom is easy to use and turns out great pictures for my kids sports, plays, concerts, and just family photos.

I couldnt afford a more pricey lens with a better aperture but his guy does the trick!

This is the first lens I purchased for my new Sony Alpha A55 DSLR Camera! I was happy with the lens my camera came with, but I really wanted to get good photos of things that are further away (like at the zoo or amusement park). The lens feels very durable, which is a plus...I hate things that feel cheap, but it is still very lightweight and compact. I am still learning when it comes to these professional cameras but I mainly shoot on manual settings, and this lens is very easy to use even for a newbie like me! I recommend getting a polarizer filter too if you are shooting outdoors! The price isn't too bad either, especially for a first lens! I highly recommend this. In fact, I don't know what I'd do without it!

I am giving Excellent on overall rating because the photos came out were so clear and good quality. Good on easy to use because I use mostly near shots and 55 is not close enough so I have to chage to 18/55 lense that came with SLR. A little noisy when auto zooming and not as fast as 18/55. When i went to Bestbuy, I was thinking of buying 75/300 but the sales rep educated me on choosing the lense so I ended with 55/200 and saved $50. The best thing is picture quality and no doubt on the lense.

This is the first extra lens I have purchased for my Sony Alpha DSLR. I'm still learning my way around using such cameras and lenses, and decided to buy another lens. I think the price is great for what I got. I love the difference in this lens from my camera's kit lens, and it didn't add much extra weight. I am able to achieve a much nicer background blur on some images. I do have to say though, that a tripod would help a great deal the more you zoom. I can't get very sharp images using it handheld with the greatest zoom. I didn't rate the lens on durability because I have only used it a handful of times so far, but I don't foresee and problems. All in all though I think it suits my nonprofessional needs very well.

This is the lense that I use the most and my old one broke. This one is so much better than my old one! I absolutely love it!

Especially imrpesssed with the optical quality of this lens. Very sharp. However, the build feels "flimsy". I owned it with an a57 which I later traded for a NEX-6. Also got an a77 w/the 16-50 f/2.8 and Sony 55-300. Very very happy with both of these and the NEX.
