I bought this for my parents because theirs had just stopped working and before they continued arguing all day I just ran to Best Buy and bought this one.

When my old DVD player gasped its last, I shopped awhile for a replacement, then fell into indecision. (How much was I really willing to spend?) Luckily, I checked Best Buy and found this well-reviewed beauty. Even better, it was an "open box" bargain. I'm very happy with it.

Ordered 2 different Sony DVD players “Open Box Excellent” & they arrived in one oversized box with NO padding inside! Outside of box was dented, torn & partially collapsed. When UPS transferred this box to USPS, that label had covered my address, so postal clerk had to peel back that label to find my Name & PO Box number & handwrite that info near label. The other model appeared to be in more pristine “Open Box Excellent” condition, plus the other DVD player had HDMI so I plugged it in instead of this one — looked good with both of my 720p “dumb” TVs, so I kept that one & returned this cheaper model (no HDMI).

Very happy that I took a chance and purchased this DVD. Works great just like new... Thank you!

I purchased this Sony - DVD Player - Black Model:DVPSR210P SKU:4790684 back in October 2023. Here it is, March 2024, five months later, and it has stopped working. I have tried different DVDs. I receive error messages that indicate the discs are either unreadable or dirty, which they aren’t. These are discs that were previously working. Do not waste your money! This DVD player is a piece of junk!
