It's inexpensive, small, easy to use, and provides a great picture quality. I was really surprised at the picture quality because I connected it to an old 4X3 TV with composite cables. I thought the picture was going to be so so BUT the picture is amazingly sharp.

The only thing wrong is that the Instructions from Box to TV cable Connections is Not Helpful, cause the cables even though they are Color Coded it may Not match up with the TV Connection for there wasn't sound on the screen or the Color was off. So my Husband had to look it up on the computer to find what he had do to, to make it work. Also certain remote controls will work with the TV/DVD player, where you can switch from TV to DVD, then You can use the remote that it comes with to watch whatever on Your DVD. Other than That, once it's set up right, its Great!

This thing is great. It's very small and fits nicely right above our TV. It's simple to operate. It comes with a remote with a ton of buttons, but you really only need a few, and you can operate the DVD player from the box itself if you want. I'm glad we got a DVD player again, and this is a nice, inexpensive option.

Just what I wanted, simple to use with no bells or whistles. Slim, so it fits under my tv. I had not owned a DVD for years, I have CDs that I wanted to listen to and DVDs to watch. I am very satisfied with my little player.

Looking for a smaller c.d. player that could fit on my shelf. Found the answer to my problem! Not only does it fit nicely it also was inexpensive and plays just fine . Sony is a good quality item and has a good reputation for lasting a long time.

I use this player in my basement for my workout videos. I don't need HD pictures, I don't need stereo sound, I just need a solid, reliable player. And, I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This is ideal. Even though this is designed for use with newer TV sets, I use it on an older model with no adapter needed. The on/off button and the insert/eject function are both a little slow to respond, so don't keep pressing the buttons! You have to wait a few seconds, but they do work.

This is small and compact. We have purchased several over time for our homes and as gifts. The performance and quality we have with this DVD Player goes beyond the low price and can be compare easily with more expensive models.

If you’re looking for a slim lightweight dvd player for an apartment or small room, then this is the ultimate one! Perfect price and amazing quality! Can’t beat Sony. I’ve been running with them for years and will continue to do so!!

Got this home, realized it didn't have HDMI, took it right back. Zero hassle at BB, gave them 20 bucks more for the next model up, with HDMI. (If you don't need HDMI for a given situation, I'm sure this will do the job fine)

It does what its name says: it plays DVD's. And it seems to do it easily and well.

Easy to install, and works fine. The only reasons it did not get a 5-star rating is no display and the controls/buttons are on the top of the unit where I must feel for them and memorize the order. Still for the excellent price, it was a good purchase.

I bought this DVD player because it was cheap ($37 with tax). The DVD player is small and compact and easily fits on a bureau. I have already watched numerous old DVDs and the picture and sound quality is great! Do yourself a favor and buy this DVD player, not every movie is available on streaming services!

I bought this DVD player specifically for playing CDs thru my stereo system. It’s a simple and small scale unit to sit atop other components. It does not have a display in the player to show which track it’s on. For my purposes the built-in buttons on the face are all I needs to operate: play, advance track, pause, open/close (which starts to play upon closing). I’ve tried CDs from the 80s thru today and all play flawlessly. It comes with a full featured remote but I do not seem to need it for my specific use. Could be a bit quicker to index the first track upon loading up the CD. It’s a great price and great player and is very capable of Playing single CD music.

Small, compact size is a plus. Excellent video quality. Also, the remote control is very well laid out. So many remotes are a pain putting button so close you constantly hit the wrong one. This one is very nice. The price was excellent and I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a DVD player. Get em while you can.

Sony quality. Great for tvs w/o hdmi or with components or co.posite hook ups. For the money cant beat it

I am not a tech savy person but the setup and installation of this Sony DVD player was a piece of cake. The DVD player comes with everything you need to start playing your favorite DVD right down to the batteries for the remote control. I have had not a single problem with the Sony DVD player and I highly recommend it to any and all who would inquire.

Only complaint is no way to hook up an HDMI cable only coaxial cable,but it did come with. Nice pic, remote is able to control TV. My son loves it!!! Sony has always been a good reliable brand, that's why I buy the brand.picked up curbside,was real easy, employee was nice!!!
