Basic DVD Player.

Would recommend to people that are just changing over from VHS tapes and do not like new technology. Very simple to use.

Follow the instructions and you'll have a wonderful viewing experience.... There's also ways to customize it; those of you who know how to do this, go for it! I give this a "thumbs up!"

Only downside is that, despite its claim of a "universal" remote, forget about it. You can't use it to control your TV also.

I understand that your DVP-SR210P is having issues turning off when not playing a disc. Please try turning off the DVD player, unplug it for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on again.

Has external control buttons on the unit itself so if you misplace the remote you can still use it. And the remote that comes with it also allows you to control the TV and select the TV input. All necessary features in this day and age.
