I bought this unit to play CD's in the garage after cancelling satelite radio. I use an older Bose Soundlink speaker and it makes for a compact sound system. Overall this is a good CD Player. (I haven't used it as a DVD Player.) I have this on a shelf that's convenient, so I sometimes use the buttons on the unit vs. the remote. The buttons on the unit aren't that great. I often have to press them a couple times to get results. Using the remote makes for a better experience.

We bought this for a friend with special needs. He doesn't need a Blu-ray quality movie, or to stream shows, or anything. He just needs a basic DVD player, and this was perfect for him. It's easy for him to use, and is everything he needs.

I think this is a great DVD player. I have a Sony TV and a hooks up directly with my TV and I can use the remote that comes with it for both the DVD player and the TV. You can't beat the price and it's a quality piece of equipment. I would recommend it to someone looking for an inexpensive but quality DVD player.

The unit is compact, my 32 inch HD TV sits on top of it. The component input works fine and we use it to play pictures from our vacations. It can play 600 plus pictures at a time. It also works well at reunions to show pictures of past reunions without having to press "next" to forward the review.

Works great....Is a lot better than the $20 ones you buy at the Dollar Store (My Mistake, there !).. Originally bought a Blu-Ray player, but wouldn't play on my old TV, so returned it, ( No Problem either, Good Customer Service) and got this this one.. Again a good buy at a reasonable price

I asked a Best Buy clerk for his recommendation for a simple, inexpensive DVD player that would connect to my old CRT television. He recommended this model. It was a good recommendation. It connects with RCA cords to my older TV (no HDMI connectors). You can use it without the remote by pushing the buttons on the unit. We've had it for a about a month without a problem.

I was looking for a basic DVD player for a TV in my winter home that had the ability to use for playing movies and CD's. This unit is slim and compact and very easy to use. I have several blue ray Sony DVD players and purchased this one because of the Sony brand and the price. I highly recommend this DVD player for anyone looking for a plug and play easy to use device.
