I use it to play CDs and works as expected. It is very slow moving between functions which is why I give it only 4 stars.

Posted .Hi Joel, we are glad to hear that you are enjoying the product while playing your CD's, this unit allows to play multiple types of DVD and CD formats like DVD, DVD+RW/+R/+R DL, DVD-RW/-R/-R DL, Music CD/Super VCD and CD-R/-RW for a wide variety of content that you can enjoy. Also regarding the unit being slow we can recommend trying to perform a power cycle by simply unplugging the unit from the power for 2 min and then plug it back in. If that does not help there is also an option to reset it, you can go to Setup > Reset > returns the settings to the default settings, we really hope this helps to maximize your experience and get the best out of the product. But fortunately, I was able to still find them at Best Buy !!! This one is sleek and easy to use. There is one problem, it has a “ working noise”, a loud hum, instead of working silently.That is bothersome when the movie is having a silent section.

I would of liked more control buttons on the unit itself in case I lose the remote or the batteries go bad It was a great value for the money!

It can read Netflix DVDs more reliability, and shuts off better using the remote. You can also watch at up to 1.4x normal speed which saves time. Audio at faster speed is not distorted. Video becomes slightly jumpy.

The picture is great. The set was super easy and done within minutes. I have broken so many of these in the past. I hope this one holds up.

This doesn't have all the features of the cd player, but it works great. Plug in and play. One tenth of the cost of a cd player replacement.
