It does not and so it wasn't compatible with my smart TV. I had to return the item.

There are a few improvements in this new version - slightly smaller, enhanced remote functions, auto-OFF to save power - and we expect many years of service from this machine as well. Altogether, great value for the price.

However, for this old school consumer the Sony DVD Player is just what I needed - a one function unit that will enable me to enjoy my library of over 200 DVDs for quite some time.
