Not exceptional, but functional and acceptable for the price. As others have noted, slow response to remote button presses. No simple way to zoom. A very basic machine, but it gets the job done.

I am a little disappointed in this player. I have always loved Sony products. This unit doesn't think very fast. Takes almost a minute just to open the drawer. Sometimes doesn't play disks I know to be in good condition until you eject and put disk back in. Very limited options as to picture resolution, etc. Actually I can't find any options to change any settings at all. Once playing, it plays well. Does a good job of remembering your last place on the disk.

The DVD player is pretty basic but gets the job done. Not overly fancy but was easy to connect and start to use. No issues so far.

Plays "store DVD's" perfect. When playing home movies and still pictures that were burned on laptop , only still pictures were played. Had to download " Handbrake Program" to make it work. A challenge for a senior citizen, however, Geek Squad service is the best help.

Works great, decent price and it is a Sony to boot.

The remote really doesn’t function very well. Otherwise this unit is okay.

I just needed a DVD player for an older standard definition tv!! Plays well but seems to only play in a wide screen mode (when I get a chance i will actually read thru the manual to see if there is a way to fix that)!!

Does what it needs to, plays DVDs. I bought this exact item about 4 years ago, only used it like 5 times and it didn't work. So replaced it. My guess is they just don't last. But time will tell with this one,

The connectors, (red, yellow, white) are very loose and literaly fall out of holes!!!!! Not sure what to do now.

With no HDMI connection port this DVD player is not compatable with most televisions.

I returned it after one month for three reasons. First, it had trouble playing some DVDs that play on my portable DVD player, previous DVD player, and my computer. Second, 90% of the time, the last scene memory did NOT work as claimed. It just restarted the movie from the beginning. Even my cheap portable does this well. Third, no HDMI cable output. I expected more from SONY. I'm buying a Sylvannia SDVD6656 which appears to do all three for $5 less.

Hello and thank you the price on this dvd player was unbeatable and the condition of it was excellent I love best buy so much I will have to visit again.

Needed RCA connectors to my very old Bose clock radio. Unit is quiet and shut off automatically when it stops playing CD's or mp3 songs.

Bought for my wife to use for workout videos. Works well for a basic player.Returned it for a blue ray player because it didn't work with the new tv I bought a week later.

The dvd player is a bit slow, but for the price and how infrequently I watch DVD's is just fine - sound quality is much better than on my old DVD player as well

My last DVD player had a digital read-out. A lot of my titles don't have a run time so I don't know how much is remaining.

A real, honest to goodness DVD player that works without connecting a WiFi or RJ45 cable into the thing. It even remembers where you left off when watching a movie.

Perfect for what I needed it for! I connected it to our Bose Wave radio. The CD player on the Bose was broken. Impossible to replace.
