She's perfectly happy with coming into the DVD age. Hopefully the DVD player will last as long as the tv has. The only drawback is the AV cord is very short, maybe 3 feet? We had to purchase a longer cord in order to keep the DVD player off the floor.

I'm going to try re replace it and see if it happens again.
