Nice, Small Player

I connected a camera-monitor to this player so that tracks can be navigated during CD playback onscreen. The display for this feature is a little subtle to find, but once you know where it is you will have no trouble using it. I have yet to test its upconversion capabilities.

Picture is good and there are options available for hooking up to the television. Remote is small and crowded with many buttons. All in all it is a satisfactory unit.

Basic install. Purchased another Sony model which was for older tv's with RCA cables that I had to return for this one. Double check the model you are buying if for newer tv's.

Durable DVD

I can put a movie in, watch half of it, take it out the DVD, put it in the next day and it'll pick up right where I left off. Oftentimes, I fall asleep while watching a movie, and it will go to sleep mode by itself.

It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'

They are in use for 12 hours everyday, turning on and off at our Satellite Station miles away at my command. We probably replace one of the four every year or so. Bare bones, perhaps, but they do the job.
